Dr. Traynor – I chose the smallest implant option?!

Hey everyone
Just signed up to the forum as I’ve just been for my surgeon consultation with Mr.Traynor…Totally new to this!!! He asked me what cup size I wanted to be so I said a C/D … he said because I was a B already it would only be worth going to a D. He offered me 350/400/450. I did say to him that 450 sounded big and that I didn’t want to go big and he just said “it isn’t my operation Im not telling you to put 450’s in just try them on” I know he probably has to offer the biggest size and the smallest size but when I tried the 450/400s on I just felt ridiculous! I felt like he didn’t understand that I didn’t want big boobs. So I’ve gone for the 350cc which I loved the look of but everyone seems to say to go for the biggest size you get offered because you always wish they were bigger after…. plus I asked my PC if many people pick the smallest size offered and she said hardly ever. Does anyone have any advice for me? he also offered me overs because I have tissue there but I’m scared they won’t look natural especially if I were to go as big as 400/450cc… I also found Mr.Traynor to be very abrupt and he seemed a little rushed .. he read out the list of risks in a kind of “I’ve done this a million times” voice then he told me my sizes and said he would do overs and I left and then I was like “omg was that it? is it over already?!” I really wanted to feel excited but I just wanted to cry until my PC cheered me up haha. I totally trust his skills but I was just shocked that all he had to do was look at my boobs and then wal-ah he knew what implant size without asking if I wanted them to look big/fake/natural etc etc and when I tried the 450’s to start with I was just like “yeah I don’t think he gets what I want”. But then I tried the 350ccs on and I was so excited. CONFUSED!!!!

Lol im having mr traynor next wed for 500cc. Hes lovely and the work I’ve seen is amazing. I mean theres no excuse for rushing you but I suppose they say the same thing so many times. . I think you discuss everything with pc more once he has seen you if that makes sense. Im a little worried ill be too big so might see if they will order smaller too so I can talk to him on the day x

Hun it is so difficult really.. first thing i have to say is traynor is amazing! 🙂 i had him.. regarding size.. the options he gave will have been based on what is the best fit for ur boobs and the aims u have.. u will most likely measure big not matter the size u chose.. but u certainly wont look big.. i had 600cc i feel i look a full DD/e but i measure a G i thought they would be huge and they arent lol.. the sizers will give u the best idea the closest ur going to get when u look in the mirror did they look huge.. because i was feeling the sizers they felt big but looking in the mirror i looked nowhere near big enough.. do weird lol xx

thanks guys I’ve read a lot about him he sounds amazing and I really don’t want any other surgeon apart from him – I guess he was running behind and was a bit rushed … he is also probably sick of everyone going back and saying they wished they had bigger lol so always offers them the biggest option! I defo feel like I loved the look of the 350cc I just hope they are a good representation of how they are actually going to look…. Claire I didn’t realise you can change your implant size on the actual day – I feel better about this as at least I can double check with him before my op that the size is right for what I want 🙂 … Yep missy that makes total sense I think I maybe freaked out thinking 450’s were massive but so many people say they measure bigger than they look. Just hope I’ve made the right choice going smaller 😀

I chose the smaller size was offered 425cc and 450cc. I wanted to be a dd but I am a ff they don’t look massive or fake on me though ur surgeon knows what he’s goinrgg on about

I had my op saturday I also had overs.I was offered 500 and 450 I choose the smaller size on the day.I have added pics so far x

I’m going to see Mr Traynor on Thursday and have heard he’s not I’ve for the words, but I’ll totally trust his judgement as I’ve seen his work and he’s awesome!! Can I add you please? z

I have mr traynor on the 23rd and I’m also swaying towards 350cc. He suggested over the muscle but I really don’t know what to expect as I want then very natural. I’m a 32b now and I always thought under the muscle created a more natural look. Very confused!

Hi, I had dr traynor and I am 6 days post op! I also felt kinda rushed and confused when I met him for the first time. There’s really no messing about with him! I was really unsure and was contemplating going with someone at transform but then I read some of his reviews from other girls. He really has a great reputation and I figured i want someone who can do the best job possible not just a nice friendly man!

As with the sizers I was offered 275, 300 and 350 initially. I tried them on and even thought the 300s looked big for what I wanted to achieve. However I ended up going with the 350 and I can honestly say I think the sizers aren’t good indication of how the implants look in your body. I am only 6 days post op so I cannot tell what my final size will be but they feel and look great at the moment 🙂

You have lots of time to think about the size I even chose on the day.. And dr traynor gets nicer the more you meet him don’t worry!!

What size where you before Abbie and where they overs? I dunno what to do at all such a tough decision

I was a 32a/b…I always wore a b and thought it fitted me but dr traynor told me I was actually an A haha! He wanted to do overs but I really wanted unders from stuff I had read about them looking more natural and also less chance of capsular contracture. Not even sure there are any facts to back that up but I was just sure I wanted unders. When I asked him if I could have unders he just said ‘why not?’ And that was it! Haha!

Give yourself some time to think! I know the numbers sound a lot but there really isn’t much difference in an extra 50cc. Apparently 50cc is a quarter of a cup size xx

omg guys i feel so much better now thank you! I thought he was nice just so blunt and brief! and Abbie I totally agree – I would so much rather have a surgeon with a good rep even if he wasn’t the most talkative person in the world! When you asked for unders and he said “why not” I can totally imagine him saying that lol! He said he would go overs for me and I said why not unders I thought they were supposed to look more natural? and he said “who ever told you that? do you know any natural breasts that are under the muscle?” I said “no” he said “there you go then” and that was that lol but he said it in a way that made me think if I wanted unders he would do unders. But I suppose it’s better to trust his judgement! I will ask him again on the day 🙂 I didn’t realise we get so much say in what we want! But Keshia don’t worry about the over/under situation because what I tried to gather from Mr.Traynor (even if he didn’t explain it the best lol) is that if you have tissue it will look natural whether you go under or over … if you don’t have tissue then it wont look natural so it goes under. So I don’t think one looks more natural than the other in general it’s more based on the individual if that makes sense? I’ll give you an add guys 🙂

Dr Traynor last Tuesday I was a 34a and he offered me 250/300/350, based on me wanting to be a C/D I read the forum & got so confused about sizes all I would say is go with what you feel looks right my PC was so good. I went for 350 unders I am so happy with the results Dr Traynor is lovely I couldn’t thank him enough,.

I had my traynor 10 weeks ago, he’s a lovely down to earth guy with a very dry sense of humor.
I had 400cc but feel I probably should of went with the smaller size offered as I’m only 5ft 1 and am now a 32F!
He told me that he didn’t do fake looking boobs and if I wanted that look I would have to do it with certain bras also I had overs xx

Hey if your looking for natural have chat about unders the thing is with implants they don’t look that big under skin if I was u IDE go for the biggest as u will kick your later on down the line I’ve got 385/450 which I’m G and they look smaller than a G few weeks il be having 590cc

That’s so true Abbie there isn’t much diffrence if you have been told you have a lot of breast skin and he needs the implants to fill the skin if you don’t you will end up with saggy bobbies and that’s wot u don’t want x

yeah I’m a small 34B so don’t have a massive pocket to fill but just hope 350 fills it enough 🙂 don’t want big boobs but deffo want plumped up versions of what I have haha xx @ayeshamush78

Also to those who have had theirs done… you know the boob things you try on in the sports bra that represent the implant size… did you think your actual boobs turned out to be quite similar to what you tried on? xx

Little was asked on what I wanted to achieve etc, and he automatically had given me the round implants to try on in two sizes one 350cc and the other 395cc (which I told my pic I prefered the ‘teardrop’ shape as I want them to look as natural as possible) after saying this to him he changed one to the shape I wanted at 375cc but it didn’t look big at all. I asked if that was the biggest he would do for me and he said yes! Kinda undecided because I don’t want to pay all that money and not be happy! I hope you’s don’t mind me adding you’s 🙂 🙂 xxx

Just remember the sizes look bigger when you try them on so they will look smaller also if you are having unders you lose 50cc look wise hope that helps 🙂 xx

I’ve accepted you 🙂 Yeah i totally know what you mean @Paige he didn’t ask me what I wanted and I’ve only just remembered now that I didn’t question what type of implant I wanted! He just gave me the HP ones to try and now I’m wondering if I’d asked him about a natural look would he have given me a different type? However if you look at pics of implants spaced over 1 year they do actually seem to drop a lot and they do end up looking way more natural and tear drop like anyways due to gravity 🙂 I do feel like Dr.Traynor just assumed I wanted big round boobs lol when I want the total opposite 🙂 xxxx

I am glad I picked smaller size babe. I’m so happy with mine! If I went any bigger I might not get bras as easy x

Hi everyone, I had my consultation with Mr Traynor on Monday, n he offered me 300/350/400 to go from a 30C to 30DD. I was quite happy with 350 when tried them on, but after seeing what everyone says here, I’m swaying towards 400. I’m booked for the 12 Nov at Preston, so I need to decide on size too! Decision…decision…
