I had drains, it depends what surgeon you have. if your a day case they take them out before they send you home, if your an over night they get left in over night. They hurt when they take them out :((

i was ok, i had it once before, but it was ok. i felt worse of the tablets not the anesthetic. your put to sleep, then it seems like its only 2 mins, and your awake in a peaceful recovery room xx try not to be nervous xx

    Hi ella,

I had drains to on 24th Aug this year. As long as you breathe when told you will be fine. It does feel really weird though!! x

Haaaa my drains hurt me and made a funny noise when they took them out! oh and i thought they would leave little scars on the side of my boobs and theres no scars what so-eva considering i had my op on thursday!xxx

Omg! I didn’t really even think about drains… is it fairly likely I’m going to have them? I’ll have Dr Chantarasak 340cc (at the mo!) overs, what do you think? I’m a bit worried now! Thanks in advance :) xx

Chloe, I am in the same boat. I have already had a BA and didn’t have drains but this time around my op is much more intrusive as it’ll be removal and replacement and a new pocket made UNDER the muscle. Mr Fallahdar has suggested that I MAY need drains….eek!! This scares me more than the GA!! 😯

Hi Charlene! Yeah I know I’m worried more about that too the ga I’m fine with! I think I’ll have to have a word with Dr C when I see him in Dec. Hope everything goes ok for you, preferably with no drains! :) x

Thanks Chloe. Same goes for you!! x
