Drains?

Hi,

Can someone kindly tell me what they are, what they are used for and who uses them. Does everyone have them? xx

i had mario russo and he used the drains on me. i think helena uses them, i dont know about oher surgeons. i had them in overnight after my op. the nurse told me they were to get rid of fluid and blood to avoid you getting swelling and fluid after the op. i think they go up the side the boob. it worked on me – ive had no swelling at all! it didnt hurt when they were tken out – just felt a little weird x x

well i had drauns and i still had swelling and they bloody killed when they took em out x x

Becca13 dont ruin it for me, i was fine thinking if i had them it wont hurt lol do they tell you before hand if they will use them or do they do it at the time? xx

I had drains with Mario,I was pleased I did, otherwise where does all that fluid go and I had quite a lot, mine did’nt hurt when they came out,they just felt weird,xxx

Mr Kazazzi uses drains hun. I agree with Izzy and Tina. Not sore when they come out, just strange….and also very quick!! xx

I had drains with Helena, overnight stay. Didnt hurt when mine were taken out but they are very awkward to move around with when you need the loo etc x

does dr mario russo use drains on all his patients?

Hi hun i had mr russo and no drains last monday so unless he thinks u need them then prob not

Mr traynor told me he only uses them if he needs to but mostly doesn’t need to. I met with other surgeons who said they always use them. Seems to vary. Its probably just a precaution like the other girls have said for if you look swollen and they need to drain fluid to decrease the chance of infection x

I had drains with Marion Grob, glad i did as I never had much swelling but taking them out was the worst part of the whole experience for me. The right one was the tightest the nurse as ever had, which hurt. And the left slided out so quick I felt sick and giddy. Fell straight asleep afterwrds as it took so much energy out of me xx

Tummy tuck one each side … JOY… BUT it means I’ll get the full affects sooner … And swelling from a TT can last upto 6 months so this really is the best thing as I’ll be super flat in a jiffy lmao! Hope I don’t have them

In my boobies also mmmmm :S I’ll be like drain woman… I’m gonna take pain killers an hour before I have them out I’m all over it lol x
