Hi I’m having my BA in 2 weeks with mr Singh in highgate and in booked for a daycase. I didn’t think I would have drains as it was a daycase but I have seen some people on the forum have had drains. Please can somebody explain to me what they are? When and how are they removed? And does mr Singh use them?
Also what time will I be discharged? I need to sort out transport etc as my partners coming down to London after he’s picked our daughter up from school so in going down in the morning on the train with my friend and he’s bringing us back
Xxx
hey hunni daycase u will have drains they are to drain excess unwanted fluid from around the implants u normally wake with them in and they pull them out once fluid is drained out they leave a tiny hole like a pin ***** that heals its self , daycase usually 4 hours after your op aslong as u are well and have had food u will be discharged hun xx
Do they remove the drains before you leave or do you have to go back and get them taken out?? Ive heard of people having drains for up to 48 hrs, is this true??
im really not sure if that is true hun, all ive heared is everyone gets to go home sameday with out drainage bags in lol but will let u know if i have mine before u,when are u having your ba laussie? xx
I am having mine this tuesday!! The only part I am actually abit queasy about are getting the drains out..eeekkkkkkkk!!!!
At my last BA I was in over night as there was no such thing as daycase cosmetic surgery in 2003 (here in Ireland anyway!) so I got the drains out the next day but I think it would probably be better getting them out on the day of the surgery when you are pumped full of pain relief
When are you having yours emma2326? xx
I had my surgery on a friday, uplift and implants overnight stay,my drains were removed saturday morning before I was discharged,I did’nt feel any pain just a weird pulling sensation, xxxx
Thank you ladies
I’ve been offered an op date of this Friday as I’m on maternity leave at the moment so font have to worry about work! I’m weighing up whether to go for it or wait till oct 12th
Think I may take this friday as I so want my new boobies ASAP x
Go for it honey,xxxxx
I had dr singh and was a day case hun and I didnt have drains xx
Not all surgeons use drains hun, like Nikki says I havent heard of Mr Singh using drains. If they are used, theyre taken out before you leave hospital.
Like Tina says, they dont hurt being taken out its just a strange tugging feeling x
It wasn’t something me Singh mentioned at my consultation but then I didn’t ask the question so it might gave just been something that he didn’t think he needed to mention.
I don’t mind either way as long as I get to go home that evening.
Have any of you had your BA at the fitzroy hospital? I am booked in at highgate but if I took the date this Friday it would be at the fitzroy hospital, it looks easier to get to via train which would be ok for my trip down but apart from that I font know much about it xx
i definatly get them asap,im having mine 4th oct at highgate with marion grob she uses drainage bags she drew a pic to show me how they will look when i wake, it looked like two eyes with broken glasses lol but she was really helpfull tho, im also on maternity leave so earlier the better as long as someone is there to help u with baby u will be finexx
