it isnt exactly the same but i had a drain for an operation with my appendix last year and when they pull it out it isn’t painful just a wierd sensation and its over n done with in seconds so don’t worry about it!

all i will say is (although it may not make a difference with boob drains) when they go to do it, take a big breath in and hold it ’til its out – the first time they moved my drain they didnt tell me to breath in and it really hurt! the second time when they took it out the nurse told me to take the big breath and it didnt hurt at all! Wish they had told me that the first time around coz i worked myself up so much for the next time for nothing!!!

I had my BA last Monday with KAzzazi at Doncaster, the drains where the only bit about the whole op i was bothered about, almost cried when the nurse came in my room to remove them! god knows why now! Honestly its a really bizarre feeling, she just holds it and goes one, two,.. and tugs it. it sound bizarre but i thought it felt like it wasnt coming from inside my skin but as though it was a little sucker on my side, it made like a suck/pop noise and that was it, wasnt painful at all, you could feel something happening but it wasnt at all what i expected. sounds crazy i know but it really did feel like a little sucker on my side being pulled off, like what a teddy is stuck on a car window with :s haha good luck ladies! It’ll be fine! xx

Stacey123, as far as I’m aware, he never uses them (don’t hold me to it though). I had uplift & implants and he didn’t use them. I think he tries not to use them at all in breast surgery.
