Drains fitted?

My surgeon mentioned to me that during surgery I would have drains fitted and that I would have to stay in hospital for 2 nights until the fluid stops. Did anyone have this with their BA as I’ve never heard anyone on the forum speak about this?

some surgeons use drains babe i never had them tho and not sure about 2 night stay xx

I had drains in but only over 1 night, they took them out in the morning a few hours before I left xx

Its not through mya, I have booked through bmi private hospital in Aberdeen, it’s Mr Depasquale. Hope I don’t have to stay two nights! Are u left with marks from where the drains are fitted? x

I Jus hav a little tiny dot my right 1 don’t have a mark coz it was in the side of the incsion but left has a lil dot barely visible xx

i had drains hun but they came out a few hours later never heard of them having to stay in for 2 nights before i would ask whyy hun good luck xx

Sum 1 I no had drains and they went wiv BMI they were told that drains help to heal quicker, and mayb if ur a smoker this mite b the better option for u mayb?

I’ve been told I will have drains and hopefully be in 1 night but I have been warned there is a possibility it could be 2 nights. Like you this is not with Mya.
