drains question

Im having my surgery in London and im just wondering if anyone has had surgery there without having to use drains? if so which surgeons dont use them? also do you need to have stiches removed? do they use glue? so confused. xx

Iv got my BA a week today with dr chantarasak an I knw he doesn’t use drains, he does use stitches thou an u hav them removed wen u go to your post op. Hope this helps

I asked about drains at my pre-op last week and I’m sure she said if you have unders you will have drains xx

I had mr singh. I had unders and no drains. He uses dissolvable sitches too

My MYA woman, person, (I forget what you call them) told me MYA doesnt use drains at all

MYA deffo use drains lol, I had Kazazzi unders with drains… I don’t see all the fuss tho, I wouldn’t even have known what they were if people hadn’t have said – they didn’t hurt in the slightest??

ive heard they make you more prone to infection :S god knows if thats true tho….it was one of the “risks” when I looked online about stuff, I’ve been told Im not having drains tho

You definitely need to have drains if you have unders, and I don’t know why a MYA person would say they don’t use drains unless she was just talking about overs.

You only have drains in while you’re in hospital, so not long.

It’s because you bleed more when they go under the muscle that’s all x

i had 380 overs yesterday and had drains with mr kazzazi. it wasnt painful but its just uncomfortable and i was very aware they were being pulled out, strange feeling but manageable xx
