Dressings!!

I’m 5 days post op and my dressings are peeling off! I’m not due to see the nurse until next Wednesday, but they are so irratating and itching me I just want to take them off, I took the tapes off on monday night as the nurse said too but I’m so itchy it’s awfull Do you think I could take them off myself or should I wait for the nurse next week? Unless I try to leave them on until I’m 7 days post op then take them off myself Oh I just don’t know lol xx

No i wouldnt touch them, they are there to cover a open wound..
If you take them off before the incisions are ready you will be leaving yourself open to infection massively..
You need to leave that to the nurse cos she will check all is okay before leaving them uncovered..

Well they already hanging off and I can see the wound on the left side, I know that most are taken off 7 days post op which for me would be friday, but the nurse isn’t at my clinic until next wed, if I do decide to take them off my self I will still go to see the nurse next week to check all is ok x
