DRESSINGS HELP

I have jut been 2 get me dressings removed well I though removed but she just took them off cleaned the wound and put strips back no and told me not to still get a propa shower I am 12 days post op and was looking forward to a good shower she booked me in for a week Monday and I can’t wait that long i will be 23 days post op by then did any1 else have to wait that long or do u think I should get one xxxxx

Just had my dressings off today and new steri strips put on. Then told I could shower when the dressings fall off just leave them I am 7 days post op my new steri strips are hanging off now the shower was amazing. She also told me to keep the wounds dry also x x.

daisypie i just had the same – dressings off today and more steri strips put on. I was also told I couldn’t shower but I’m only 7 days post op. I’ve got another appointment on monday too so I might be like you and have to keep them on. It’s annoying we can’t shower yet but it’s worth healing properly x

I know I had a look at my scars they look great already so I am happy about that, I have been having half showers but whet I look at that page on here were it ask questions such as wen they had there first showers slept on there side ect. An nobody seem to have waited as long as I am going to, I just want to feel human again plus am booked in 4 a spray tan sat any tips xxx

Hmmm, you could try getting one of those cheap bandeau bras from somewhere like primark and put that on for your spray tan? You could roll it in half so the top half of your boobs would get tanned? The only thing there would be washing it off if it ran into your wounds? You’d have to just wash it off with baby wipes or leave it to fade.

i had my dressing off steri strips on at 10 days and told to have a bath 3 days later have a good soak and peel steri strips off then go back at 6 weeks i think different surgeons/nurses have different ways of dealing with things xx

I had my dressing off on day 8 an steri strips applied I was told I cud shower but not the rub on scars just let water drip down passed them then wait 4-5 days then soak in the bath and take them off x

I’m 6 days post op. Had my dressings off today & steri strips on. Nurse said i can shower in 3 days and strips should fall off x

i had a spray tan at 3weeks po, i rolled up some kitchen roll, coverd the scar and used a little micropore to hold it on at the sides x

I’ve just had all my dressings taken off n new steri’s put on, I’m 10 days po. Got told I could have a shower, just let water run over my scars. I had an uplift too but Fook me I couldn’t stand the water on me. It was sooo painful!xxx
