dressings off tomorrow… advice please

I’m getting my dressings off tomorrow. What will they do then? Put more dressings on? or will I be free from dressings?

Also, i have dissolvable stitches… will they have dissolved by tomorrow or should I expect to see them?

Very nervous about seeing the scarring (i had uplift too) but preparing myself for massacre style boobies in the hope they wont look as bad as i’m imagining!!!

For me they took off the dressings -at the week 2 post op appointment – trimmed the stitches then got me’ to look in mirror. Then she put on waterproof plasters to allow me’ to have showers. They were on for a further week. So three weeks in total. When I took off the plasters I looked absolutely awful. The nipples were mis shapen and looked like ballooons on a string. The scars looked angry and I had terrible bruising. I was told that the plasters may have put pressure on my scars which wd not help the look of them. I think it depends how your scars are looking whether they will put on more plasters. You will possibly have a say in that. Yor stitches will not have dissolved yet. My stitches have all dissolved now but there were a couple of strays that have caused me’ two little infections. The nurse plucked them out today and put another dressing on . The scarring will be scary but a few weeks on you will be amazed at how much you change. Be open minded and brave. Try not to study and analyse them like I did. I got very depressed and extremely despondent. After Mario groped me today;) he showed me’ my before pics and omg I can’t believe the change!!!!!! Relax and Good luck!! Stay in touch xxxx.

hi huni ul b fine went on thurs nurse was lvly, jus take dressing off hun, i got steri srips put back on 4 a wk jus talk throu how uv been feelin pain n everythin, very reasuring everything is fine go back 5wks time ul b fine hun xxxx
