Drinking?

Hi all,

I feel all I ever ask is stupid questions, so here goes the next one haha. Why are we not allowed to drink 2 weeks before / after? I can understand like days before and obvs after will be last thing on your mind, But would something bad happen if you were to have a drink after 1 week? I’m not getting mine done until 16th December and can’t imagine Christmas / New Year without a drink!

My nurse said 2 days before and about 5 days after just go easy after ? xx

Fabby! Thank goodness… Not that I’m an alcoholic or anything haha!x I’ll just make sure I go easy on the dancing haha xx

You’re not allowed to drink due to the medication you’ll be on afterwards. Personally I would wait until you’ve stopped all medication, definitely the antibiotics xx

My PC said couple of days before and once you finish the medication after your op you need to wait at least 48 hours for them to be out your system fully cx

Haha @lacelabyrinth I think I’ll need a few wines to help me sleep afterwards!x I thought the meds might’ve had something to do with it 🙁 Just need to see, I doubt I’ll be able to lay off the drink the full time especially with it being Christmas! Xxx
