Drinking alcohol post op

How long did you wait after post op to have a few drinks? Don’t mean like binge drinking but I have a wedding 11 days post op and wondered if I would be ok to have a couple? Xx

I waited 2 weeks as that was what my surgeon recommended. I didn’t wanna spend all the money and cause potential damage just for a drink! X

How long pre op are you supposed to not drink also? xx

My nurse said I could have one or two the same night I left from having surgery if I wanted to, just to be aware of the meds….. I had a drink up until 48hrs before my surgery… Xx

Just received email from my PC, 48hours pre op and about 4-5 days post off (or while on meds) 🙂 xx
