Driving – 8 days po…..

am i okay to drive again?

Legally you are (I think most insurances dont cover people for 7 days after a GA op). Most people wait until the go ahead from the nurse though xx

I was driving 8day PO, by this point I had stopped takin all medication so it was ok, I had no problems at all just felt a bit strange when putting it into 5th gear !!!

I think you have to be careful when it comes to driving with the airbag not so much if you can or cant do it as obviously if you were in a crash the airbag would really really hurt just after an op

I think its more the aspect of the airbag hitting you if you were unlucky to be in an accident…..

i drove at 6 days x

I drove 8 days post op and I felt fine. A bit odd but fine. However, my friend couldn’t drive for 2 weeks as she couldn’t change the gears!

I quite enjoyed being driven around

i started driving at 5days po i had no1 to drive for me but if i had id have taken advantage of it. it was a bit of a pull going into 5th gear but apart from that it was fine x
