hi i tried driving after 1 week – it killed me! i was ok if the road stayed straight going round roundabouts was terrible i had to feed the wheel like when i took my test! lol – i found it just pulled all around my armpits and across my chest , not around the scar area at all – couldn”t wear the seatbelt either!!today i”m 12 days post op and its a hell of a lot easier i can cross my arms and actually turn the wheel without going up on the path!!!! lol xx

hey, i think i drove on my 5th day… but only to my boyfriends, about 10 mins away on roads i knew really well.
youll be able to tell, maybe try somehwre short distance first or try doing a manouver. if you can turn the wheel full lock, use the gears and lift the handbreak without being in agony you should be ok.
try not to take too many pain killers though, you wont be able to tell if youve pulled anything and they might make you drowsy. best to try with someone else but i would say leave it atleast 4-5 days.
