I’m having surgery on June 6th, my one week post-op check with the nurse is the following Monday. Can I drive to the clinic?? Want to do a bit of shopping in Cardiff after as it’s just outside the city centre :)

Are you having unders or overs? Unders take longer to heal – i was 3 weeks before i could drive but i had an uplift too! Also i don’t think your insurance covers you for the first week after surgery but after that your ok xx

I had my op last tuesday and drove yesterday for the first time. Its not easy but is do-able! 5th gear and reverse are uncomfortable and turning the wheel full turns feels “ych a fi”! Im threading the wheel like a pensioner.

Im having my stitches out tonight, ill dont know how its going to feel so im getting the boyf to drive me later.

Apparently it doesn’t brunette but if your not driving till your 1 week check you should be ok…and since your having overs thats even better xx

I had overs, and started driving on day 8 (only short distances, but was fine) x

I had unders and drove 40(ish) miles to my check up (7 days po) and i was fine but avoid parking in difficult spots, i couldn’t look over my shoulder when reversing. xx

I drove 4days after to the local shop and back (not far) and I agree with lcs 5th gears a bit of a b*stard but do able I drove yesterday up to my post op appointment but I have dissolvable stiches so they didn’t really do very much just took my dressing off and checked them over. I’m back at work today so just have to get use to driving again.
