My notes said no driving for 7 days, and nurse said after that be careful of seat belt and only drive when neccessary as imagine what having to do emergency stop would do. I waited until 2wks and 5th gear and reverse was still difficult then.

Yeah they recommend no driving for 7 days, i tried driving after 10 days and struggled to get the car into reverse and 5th gear. from about 2 n half weeks driving has been fine. I had unders. x

    Hey

i used to work in car insurance and yes you aren’t covered to drive after an op like that –

you’ll be ok after a week unless you have a doctors note stating your ok to drive any earlier – but i wouldn’t risk it…

you might be the best driver in the world but some idiot could just run into the back of you and if your not covered then you would be payin out ya own pocket for some new boobies again – im defo staying off the road for at least a week :)

Hi, i had unders and drove to pick my little girl up from Nursery on day 5 – it was only a small journey, but it felt fine.

Didn’t realise about the insurance part – oops!

most people don’t… i didn’t realise until i found out through work..

even after smaller operations like septoplasty which i had last month i wasn’t able to drive for 4 days properly due to the anesthetic – i felt fine but i wasn’t covered on my insurance x

if you really really need to drive call your insurance and see what they say – they may ask for a docs note saying your ok xx

i drove after 5 days and i was alright x
