OK, yes you can use soap, jus not deogrant and moisturiser. Musn’t apply makeup and have to remove all nail varnish even from your toes.
They will give you food before you leave as they can’t let you leave until you can eat something.
Definately wash your hair as you won’t be able to for at least 5 days and then only if you put your head over the bath!
Take a sports bottle with water for after the op, it’s much easier than drinking from a cup.
Take a flannel or wet wipes as your skin will feel horrible afterwards
Hope this helps and good luck x
thanx for that ros
helps a lot hehe x
Can you put your makeup on straight after the op if you feel okay to do so or you have to wait? x
I’m sure you can apply it after but believe me you wont want to! ha x
It depends if you have unders, there’s no way i would have been able to get my arm high enough to put on makeup! Plus with all the drugs god knows what you’d end up looking like!! lol!
lol okay thanks

Hey,
I obtained pre-surgical (anti-baterial) soap from my GP prior to op, (it’s called hibiscrub). I used this soap whilst showering night before op and morning of op. I used normal shampoo and conditioner for my hair. Re: make-up, after all the drugs etc, you’ll be sweating it out through your skin which may clog pores up if you wear make-up honey. I didn’t use deodorant or skin cream morning of op. I was told to just keep myself fresh and clean on the day to avoid infection. You do have food afer your op, you’ll get a menu upon being taken to your room to choose what you would like after your op. You won’t be able to wear any jewellery during surgery either. Hope this helps. What size are you now and what size have you chose? Good luck honey xxx
