Excessive weight gain!?

I weighed myself the morning I went into hospital and thismorning 4 days post op and I have gained 10lb!!!! I am so swollen and feel so bloated but how can that happen? Please tell me the implants don’t weigh that much and this will go down soon!??? I worked so hard to lose those 10lb before the op!!

Hi Stacey, it’s totaly normal and you will drop back down in a few weeks, having a GA can cause water retention, tissues swelling, your bowel is likely sluggish and stagnation causes a bit of weight gain plus the weight of your implants all that put together can mount up, it will sharp come back off once your fully active again xxx

Hi hun, totally normal. I had my BA 6 months ago an on the day of surgery i put on about 7lb an a few more over the next few days it comes off over the next week or so. I had reveision surgery on friday so i came home an got on the scales and was pleased i hadnt put on!! I got on yesterday an i had put on 12lb!! 12lb!! In 2 days! Lol i felt like crying haha it does make you feel like crap but it gets better and starts going down slowly so dont worry although im with you on feeling like absoulte crap about it xx

I’m the same! Was so gutted as I lost 3 stone since last June & now I feel like I’m weighing the same! I’m so bloated after surgery and feel horrendous! Doesn’t help that I can’t go to the toilet still!
Please someone tell me the weight goes quickly!

I gained 16 lb and was horrified, just cut down on salts, drink lots of lemon water & peppermint tea and you’ll be back to normal in a matter of a week or so

I haven’t weighed myself but I do look like i’ve been inflated! I’m 2dpo… i’m quite happy just taking it easy, drinking some peppermint tea, and waiting as long as possible before weighing myself! Haha xxx

I’m 2 weeks post op and I have been exactly the same, I literally look the biggest I have ever been. I haven’t been brave enough to get on the scales to see exactly how much weight I’ve put on because it is that bad I feel disgusting! Any advice would be good lool xx

I was up 10lb now I’m down to 7lb up …1 week post op! Hoping it only takes another 2 weeks max for that to go!
Just drinking lots and eating loads of fruit to go loo!! Lol I ended up taking 10 laxatives before I could go to the loo I was so blocked from pain relief! Xx

Gross ain’t it your excited about your boobs then look at your belly and think yuk! I was so bloated took aqua ban water tabs they helped now I’m on my period I’m like a pot belly pig againnnnn!!! X
