Hey Josie. I do pole fitness for exercise and was told that I could start getting back to after 3 weeks had passed. I’ve been doing some moves since 21 days and have just started to do spins at 31 days. Feel a little achy and only do what’s comfortable. x

    hi Joise
Sometimes the general will make you bloated, can take a while to go. I felt pregnant when i came out!! My surgoen said totally NO excersise for 2mths and she followed it up with a story of a private patient of hers who went back to the gym after a month and as a result had to have them removed!! She said they had felt pain free and looked goregeous so she thought it was ok. I love running, biking, swimming etc and it is really hard to not do anything but i am sticking to it. It is major surgery, you have to give it sometime, it will pass. Hold out!! xx

hi dollybird, i always think you make interesting comments and cheer me up! i have started reaching up for things (putting my arms over my head) and stuff like that. doesn’t feel like i’m doing too much anymore. i’ve felt a lot better for about a week now. i’m not one for gyms to be honest, but if i was, i feel like i could manage more adventurous excercise now, being almost a month post-op, which has gone by so quickly. xxx

So you never sat in bed all day, did you feel any pain or did you just get on?
See I have have a two year old and I’m hoping nothing is gonna stop me from playing and looking after her like normal, but some girls seem to suffer.
I suppose it’s all about how much pain you can cope with. I’m not good with pain.
God, I hope I’m one of the lucky ones, x

it’s better not to lie in bed as you need to get the blood circulating around your body which is very important. A two year old child is quite a heavy weight, so you would have to be careful picking her up. Obviously, she needs her mum but you must look after yourself and definitely not do anything too strenuous. Even if you don’t have loads of pain there is still a lot of healing to be done and your little girl needs her mum to be healthy so look after yourself. xxx

Your a star penny jane, thanks for the advice.
I’m gonna try and relax as much as possible (not very easy for me), and let my partner get some stuff done in the house- there will be lists a mile long off me.
