Exercising after BA Started by: fayemous

    Hey I know there’s prob been lots of post on this but was just wondering when you have exercised after havibg your ba and also when you were advised you were able to get back into exercise, I am 9 days post op and soooo itching to get back to the gym I have put on so my h weight sitting round doing nothing and also eating my mums home cooked food, she is so old fashioned with her cooking and it’s all high fat haha think she even did me an egg in lard!!!!!! Bless her x was thinking just going for a slow walk on treadmill at first but dOnt want to be silly and over do it too early x

    Well they say not to go back till 6 weeks post op, u could just go for a walk around where you live, that’s what I plan to do after, if you get to 3-4 weeks post op and feel absolutly fine maybe then do a very light lower body work out at the gym, just be very careful and listen to your body if your not ready don’t do it. Hope that helps a little :) xx

    Hi, im 4 weeks po and i didnt ho to the gum before and i font intend on starting now! Hehe. But i have been doung alot more recently, been able to pick up my son now for a week and even mowed the back garden yesterday. 9 days is still very early tho so i would take it easy for a little but longer. I was hoovering at about 10 days po, just so long as u r comfortable and not in any pain and take it slowly, u should b fine! :) xx

    Haha ssmlb21 straight to the point :))) will just go for short walks then I wasn’t on planning doing any other than that a gym but gonna leave it abd remember I might be feeling 100% better than day 1 bit still recovering x

    I was back at the gym 3.5 weeks po, but everything easy, a little speed walkinh on the treadmill bit or cyclinh etc, I didnt do any upper body or ab exercises till I was 2 months, I took my time and listened to my body anytime I though I was doing to much I would stop, I also kept active from day 1 with plenty of walking xx
