Extremely worried…..

that my op is goin to be postponed, ive seen a few on here recently and ive just got this feeling its going to happen to me and i dont know if im going to be able to sort another date any time soon. how soon would i know if they do postpone? xx

You won’t be postponed hun, when is your op? I was only postponed because I got ill over the weekend and it was the best thing for me…if they had gone ahead then I could have had complications under the GA and problems with my healing. Other girls have been postponed because of their medical history and MYA need more information, if they haven’t contacted you about your GP or anything like that then you have nothing to worry about xx

i havent heard nothing from them yet, my op is in 9 days. ive got a cold at the mo so gonna try get better as that would just be my luck, what sort of medical history would affect it being postponed? x

Hi, I was worried about this as well. I know things like eating disorders and depression if its body related can cause the op to be postponed. I have been on antidepressants a few years ago so called my pc and she said not to worry loads of people are now a days. Sure you will be fine though. xx

Just to reassure you operations are only rescheduled or cancelled in exceptional circumstances. If you would like anymore information about this please do contact your PC who will be more than happy to advise.

oh thats good cazz because that was my main worry, ive been off them a year now but was on a high dose for 4 years and seen a psychiatrist and thought knowing my luck its gonna come back and haunt me lol. but im relieved now youve said that…….thanks mod will do x

My pc said its if you had body dysmorphia (no idea how to spell that lol) or depressed due to body image. I was on antidepressants 4 years ago so should be ok. im good a worrying though lol. Call you pc will put you mind at rest. Hope it goes well for you xx
