I’m only 20, so I’m one of the babies in the family….Thinking family are supposed to be there for you when you need them – it seems they don’t understand my pain!

    1) Cousins, friends, boyfriend = completely understand my want and need for rhino and agree that it’s what I’ve wanted since about age of 10 and if it upsets me every day then I should have the right to sort it!

    2) Mother – couldn’t care enough to bat an eyelid about the fact I’m going for an operation or what they’re going to do…she was just interested in how much its costing me and ‘if it looks ok’ she will consider having it

    3) Nan, aunty etc – think my nose is lovely and therefore are trying to talk me out of it, even though I explained how long I’ve cried over it and how I can’t talk to people in the face because I’m ashamed and have no confidence….they SHOUT at me for being so ridiculous!

I mean, how ridiculous – if my child told me that she’d been crying for 10 years over something and was completely unconfident and ashamed by a feature – I’d be completely supportive!

Just gets me down because the only people who understand are the ones that aren’t over 30!!

It makes me want to avoid family because they just put me down about it every time!! :(
