Faulse Nails ??

Hi

So I had my pre-op yesterday and the nurse told me I couldn’t have my gel nails on during the surgery, however I e had surgery before and I DID NOT take them off , I’ve had gel nails since I was 16….I’m now 29 and I couldn’t imagine how thin my natural nails are ?I don’t want to take them off. Did anyone else have to take theres off?

My surgery is on the 25th Jan ?

You definitely have to take them off. I did too. It’s not worth risking the op being cancelled.

I will have to get them off the day before then, then go back as soon as I can to get to have them done again, I’m not high maintenance but I cannot live without my gel nails ? it’s going to be a nightmare with them!! ?

It’ll all be worth it xx

I had to take my acrylics off the night before and they checked them day of the op xx

My surgery is on Monday & I had to take mine off ?? It is horrible but all worth it ?

I better make sure I take them off then, ESP if they check ?

So not only will I be in a lot of pain afterwards I wont even have my nails on either ????

So glad someone wrote this as I have mine on 26th and been worried about whether to remove them! How do i post my own initial post? Can’t work it out?! X

@vil86 I was meant to be having my op on Monday but the surgeon I went with has messed up so I have changed to Dr Marcellino & having my op done on 25th Jan!! Are you at Fitzroy? Also, is he a good surgeon as I haven’t met him yet?
The fake nails, it’s so horrible isn’t it haha!! I said if I knew my old surgeon was going to mess me about I would of kept my nails on that little bit longer haha x

Yeah I’m at the Fitzory on Monday the 25th, I’m so excited it’s 2weeks tomorrow ??
Honestly I’ve seen him twice and he’s so lovely and honest, he wouldn’t work on you if you said something he wouldn’t want to do, he’s that honest, because he says what he thinks is right for you, your body and frame. I’ve seen some if his work and I’m happy with what I’ve seen and the girls seem to be over the moon.

I’m having 375cc HP unders ? the painful one ? but hopefully will be worth it.

Who was your old surgeon? I’m dreading having mine off?I’m going to be so low maintenance the day of surgery you can wear nothing on your skin do no moisturiser, deodorant, ESP no fake tan, no makeup no nail varnish or fingers or toes, what a nightmare ?

Let’s hope it’s worth it xx

ermmm i don’t know if any of you know, i know you cant wear make up, fake tan, nails etc but are you allowed to have tint on your eyebrows?? can’t really get that off lol.

got to get my nails off tomorrow, they’re going to be soo ugly!!

I am seeing him tomorrow so he can look at my previous notes and either go with that or change it. I can’t wait to se him now after hearing all the nice things. My old surgeon was Dr L Fiumara.

Are you staying in overnight on 25th or are you doing a daycase?

I know, when I went for my pre op & they said, no nails, piercings unless plastic, no make up etc I looked at my nurse & said I’m going to feel naked haha!!

2 weeks today ? Woohoo!! Nervous but can’t wait!! xx

Georgina im sure tint is fine ?they can’t tell you to not die your hair, that’s ridiculous?
Sammi I’m a day case, I don’t like the hospitals at the best of times so I definitely want to be out of there as soon as I can be.

Today I spoke to my PC about post surgery bras…what size I should get and how many, I have a Macom a asda one and a matalan one and I have a John Lewis one on order, all in different sizes ?hope at least one of the fit, it’s hard to know what size you’ll be after with the swelling and when it’s gone down.

2weeks yay ?xx
