Fed up! Will I need to postpone my op?

Hey girls I’m due for a ba next Wednesday but I’ve had cold since tue I have no tempreture but do have a cough! I’ve taken no medication for it. Just hoping I’m well by Monday otherwise I can see them making me postpone so gutted paid £650 for my mother in law to take the kiddies away for 5 days so I could have a bit of me time while recovering and also go away in 8/9 weeks so was wanting my scars to be healed so I can go in the pool. Xxx

You still have time! Don’t give up yet…there has been plenty of girls who have had cold before their op, and (you’d better check with your nurse) I think it’s ok so long as you have no temperature or a really chesty cough.

My first op was postponed, and it was highly frustrating at the time but I believe everything happens for a reason, and if it hadn’t happened that way then I wouldnt have got myself a job in the mean time!

So try not worry too much, worry is only detrimental if anything xx

Don’t worry hun I had my op and I was still quite full of cold cough n very phlemy mine still went ahead my nurse said as long as I wasn’t realy ill and had temp etc it shud b fine n it was good luck xx

awh luv, i had a seriously bad throat on the day of my surgery, felt like i was swallowing razor blades and i was panicking in case it was postponed but on the day they said as long as my chest was clear it could go ahead and thankfully it was!! They said they would defo not operate if there was any sin of infection in the chest as it can be really dangerous going under the ga! dont panick, if its just a cold you should be ok, just dose up on lemsips etc and take plenty vitamin c! good luck xxx

You should be okay hun, im full of cold and my op is on wednesday as well with Mr traynor, i spoke to the nurse and she said i should be fine, as long as it doesnt get extremely worse. xxx

Do they check your chest on the day? Betty do u mind me asking why yours was postponed? I had tonsillitis last week so have been on antibiotics all week so hopefully if it does go to my chest it won’t cause infection. Thanx girls for making me feel a lot better about it . Of course not. My op was postponed because I had low platelet levels in my blood and it wasn’t sorted with a hemotologist in time. Just keep honest and open with your nurse and surgeon on the day, and they’ll be able to advise you best xx

I’m in on wednesday too hun can I add you I’ve had a cold since monday, felt like I was gonna die on tuesday I was soooo ill!! I’m fine now though, just got a snotty beak still! I just thought better this week instead.of the same time next week, we’ll all be fighting fit by wednesday, I think if anything, the adrenaline will get us better for it xxx

Oh bless bet that was stressful for you. Yea I think your right I will ring the nurse Monday if no better by then don’t want to travel all the way there to be told it has to be postponed. A I’ve been writing this post just had a phone call for my admission time mentioned about having cold she said just call them Monday so fingers crossed I’m better by then . Xxx

Yea add away hun. That’s good to know that your feeling better . I think I should be better by wed well I better be lol. Have youz got your admission time yet? I have to be there 7.30 that won’t be the time of my op but have to be there by then. Xxx

Driver is picking me up between 6 & 6:30 so will just get there when I get there, going to manchester from newcastle so its like a 2 & a half/3 hour drive. And the surgeon is starting theatre at 10 so I hope I’m one of the first down. I’m not going through mya though xxx

I’m in darlington so not to far from you. I have a feeling because I’m staying over night I will be one of the last probs get day cases out the way first. Xxx

Ah you might be right about that, where are you going to have your op? And what size implants you having and what size you hoping to be? xxx

sabby83 yes hun they will more than likely listen to your chest to make sure its cleas especially if you tell them you have been unwell, they did with me anyway, in fact i had 3 people come and check it. And you will easily be an e luv with 600’s i only had 380’s from 32a/b and am wearing dd/e although i only look about a d! xxx

Fingers crossed nothing goes to my chest really don’t want to have to postpone. I would secretly love to be a f cup but don’t want to get my heart set on that so thinking I will be happy being an e cup xxx

U never know chic u may well measure a e plenty of girls do. I said to mr traynor I’d like to be 2 cup sizes bigger so not sure if a dd will be counted as a cup or it will go d e f if you know what I mean. Have you seen gordie shore that lass with the red hair is a ff I know I don’t want to be that big I would look bloody stupid omg I’m now questioning the size I’ve picked!! Xxx

sophiepatterson – you will definately be around the e mark, everyones different but i had 470s from b/c and i’m a g cup now! x

Nahh I don’t watch geordie shore hun, I’m not too fussed about cup size, just got picture in my head of how I want to look but don’t think 450 are big enough for me but I think it’s a fair size for first op so I’m happy, don’t want to push my body too much xx

I agree Hun 450 is Defo a good size to your first op my first one I the biggest I could have was 325cc which I was gutted about at the time but loved them once they were done but that was 6 years ago since had two kids and they have flipped over so look like I’ve got flat boobs lol xxx

Yeah I’ve heard a lot about tear drop shaped implants flipping, it sounds mad xxx

Yea I Defo wouldn’t recommend them lol. Off to sleep hun night night xxx
