FEELING DISSAPOINTED!! ?

Hi Ladies, just writing this as I feel a little DISSAPOINTED today! I went out to Bath today and came across Boux Avenue store. I went in to get measured, a bit premature I know as I’m nearly 4 wks PO, but really I think I just wanted my suspicions and concerns confirmed. I got measured at a 36 B-C.. Yes I’m a bit happier as pre op I didn’t even fill a AA cup, so now I do have boobs, but it’s not what I asked for. At my consultation I asked for atleast a D cup, and also pointed out that I wanted to be ” more” in proportion to my belly, hips, bum size as 3 Caesars, 20 yrs on I’m now a size 14-16 bottom and felt that being so flat chested made it worse, so I wanted to be more in proportion. Well neither have been achieved!? I left it up to my surgeon, he saw me in the flesh, no pics etc, and he mentioned DD cup so surely he’d know what size implants I needed to achieve this? Yes I have some boob, but I feel not enough. I also know that I still have some dropping and fluffing to do, but going up 2 cup sizes is being a bit optimistic I think.. Just upsetting that it’s a once in a lifetime op, I’ve wanted this all my life, the cost also and to not get exactly what you asked for is truly horrible. I do have a very supportive husband who loves my breasts now, but does also agree with me as he was there at both consultations.., all I can say is make sure you double check girls with size etc, ask more questions as I would hate for any of you to feel the way I do right now.. MYA have been good, my recovery great, just not exactly what I was wanting/hoping for xx

Who was your surgeon and what size implants did you have? Just keep in mind ‘before’ and maybe if he said you would be DD they may offer a revision? X

It was Mr Marcellino.. He offered me 350cc & 375cc HP overs.. I took the 375cc.. Thank god I did!!!

hey @chipmunk. I know how you feel. i tried on a bra which was a 36 c. it is quite frustrating as i suppose the surgeon saying we would be a d/dd gave us false hopes. Ive also noticed that there’s not much definition in mine especially by the cleavage. when i look at over girls who have had smaller or the same as us but look so different it can be upsetting. ive got alot of things i need clarifying at my 6 week progress check.

Hopefully this is just a phase xxxxxx

i wouldn’t go 100% on the size that boux avenue gave you, my sister in law was measured there after her BA and they measured her at a 28e which were way too tight on her back and cup didnt seem just right.. she then went to marks and sparks and am sure they said 32d! its definitely worth shopping round before you get disheartened! i am due my BA on monday and nervous around sizing too :/ xx

That’s really sad you feel like that only 4 weeks post op. I agree with Chloe have a shop around. However if you’re not happy you must speak up.
They will only decrease in size I’m afraid, the first few weeks they are bigger than they will be a year down the line. I’m 3 years post op and mine are down nearly 3 sizes. I’m feeling really deflated about them at the moment but I’m past the point of having any options to make them better, so tell your care advisor!

Thanks Ladies but I have felt they were too small right from the beginning. I can see with my own eyes how much they have decreased in size already. I will defo be having words at my next check up… Sorry but when you have clearly asked for something, and you left it up to the PROFESSIONAL it should be right, mines too far off!, not even close… ? the more I look at them, the more annoyed I’m getting! @gems2015 sorry you feel the same too.. Was he having a bad day??? Pretty sad that we both aren’t happy, and we were both similar size to start.. Maybe we can have a revision op on the same day!!! Keep me posted Hun xxxx

Aww I really feel for you. Must be awful after you’ve set your heart on a certain outcome only to be left disappointed.
I think you definitely have to speak up, see what they can do for you.
They still look so much better than they did before the op though, so try not to get too down about it, there’s definite improvement xxxx ?

I personally think you should have been given bigger implants.. I’m not sure why that was the max you were offered unless he was just concerned you didn’t have enough breast tissue to for bigger? But it’s weird because you see people go from nothing to literally gigantic sometimes. You never know they may settle more and look bigger. xxx

Hi @toularose I know, I trusted my surgeon.. I didn’t ask for overs either, he suggested it so I went with it thinking he’s the professional not me??? I know they are an improvement, that’s not hard considering I had nothing, but it’s not what I wanted or asked for.. I’ve had to buy more bras cause none fit me or support me enough as they have shrunk so much, I’m so upset!! BLOODY B Cup, just devo ??

Ah Jo 🙁 no wonder your feeling disappointed like you said it’s not what you asked for and you trusted in your surgeon. I just hope they listen to you at your next appointment and don’t fob you off. It’s a lot of money to pay and seems you haven’t been happy since day 1 🙁 xxx

So wanna cry, went out to get new sports bras as really struggling to get them to fit with a 36 chest.. The only ones that fitted tight enough was m & s 36 A… Yep that’s right bloody ACup!!!

This is really odd that Mr marcellino would give you those sizes. I had him as well but I’m a tiny size 8 and also had 350cc implants which obviously isn’t far off 375 and I’m now a D, so this makes no sense that he would give you these sizes :s did he give you a reason at all? The only reason I can’t think of is if you didn’t have much breast tissue to begin with and he was concerned about rippling or the implants showing? That’s why I wasnt allowed any bigger. This is so disheartening for you though, I definitely think you should go back and question it because if you’re not happy, they should do something about it for free. Also, did you have unders? As they tend to get bigger over time I’ve heard 🙂 keep your chin up though hun, your new boobies still look lovely! ☺️ Xxx
