Feeling in so much pain, sick and light headed 2 days post op? x

Hi Guys,

So I had my op on Saturday (410cc Unders) and im in so much pain. Don’t know what to do with myself today. Feel really sick and lightheaded too, is this due to pain killers or anti-biotics??

Does anyone have any advice? Just so tired but fighting sleep as im trying to make myself so knackard for the evening that I can then sleep throughout the night upright.

When does the pain die down? xxx

I’d contact your clinic as it may well be the painkillers and they might be able to recommend something else. But I’d also listen to your body and rest plenty. I wouldn’t fight against sleeping. I slept alot as I got tired really easily for first week. And it really, really helped me. Take care and take it easy. x

I am now 5 days post op and i am still getting pains mostly in my scars. For the first few days after my op i felt constantly drained, tired, sick, headache, fever, i felt drunk aswell, i think its the GA still wearing off and the painkillers you take can also have an effect on you. I haate sleeping upright, my back is absolutely killing me! i think the pain will start to go after a good week perhaps 2! seems like years away for me!

I think unders are supposed to be a lot more painful…. you really do need to just sleep and rest when your body needs it. The GA stays in your system for over a week so that’s probably making you dozey too. They do tell you to call the clinic if you’re having any pain that doesn’t go away easily with the pain killers they’ve given you, might be worth a call if you’re really suffering…. xx

the painkillers can definitely make you feel rubbish and you will still have anesthetic in your body. Call the nurse at the clinic and they will be able to help

hun I felt fab straight after then had two days when I walked around carrying my boobs like a small child!! I’m 13days now and I feel fine, sensitive boobs, and the scabs/scars are a little achy but that is it, the painkillers gave me spots (never had them before)so I stopped taking them just lettign myself heal…hang on in there it gets better x

I had soooo many spots from the anti biotics! Like i had a rash all over my face xx

Hi Girls, thanks for your replies. I’ve just tried sleeping but not easy where im staying so i’ve given up. Do you think I should stay on the pain killers they’ve given me or do you think i should stop and just go on paracetmol? Hate this sick light headed feeling. x

Call for advice first Fairy. I’d always run it by your nurse. That way it keeps you right

Them tablets they give u make u feel like that, try paracetamol, if u still feel like that then sall mya. xx

Thanks Shazzy. I took the pain killers at 7:330 this morning with an empty stomach so wondering if that was the cause. Now just taken some more with food so if I still feel like it later i’ll stop and go over to paracetamol.

When does the pain start becoming easier does anyone who’s had unders know? Im so stiff and my right boob is much more painful than my left. (I know you have to treat them like two seperate op’s though so im not too worried about that. Just wanting to know when you start feeling better? x

I had overs and my left was worse than my right I’m had my ba on wednesday and it gets easier each day x

hey hun, the only painkillers i took were paracetamol, i was told at the hosp that i could take nurofen as well, im 5days po and iv been feeling fine xx hope u feel better soon sweetie xx

Sorry I meant my left is much more painful than my right. (lol im sure im still drugged up today). Kaz what did overs feel like pain wise? With unders I feel like my muscle is gonna tear out of my chest! x

I didnt have much pain and only took paracetamol when needed. It was more of a discomfort and got worse when i tried to get up and once up it did feel strange for a while till i walked around a bit. Even now 5 days post op my left still aches but my right is fine!!. x

I personally only had painkillers the 1st day, as thought i was meant to take them, i had overs and did not suffer at all. My right was worse than my left and still is, Every day will get easier, but this carries on for nearly 3 weeks, different feelings everyday, mine are now 3 weeks old on wednsday and are tingly. like a sunburnt feeling, i would recommend breast pads, even tho i dont have them, but i think i have had a very high pain freshold…But i am hoping this feeling will go soon, as it wears a bit thin after a while. You should just rest as much as possibe if your in pain, i was lucky, out shopping 2 days post op, never really rested at all, xx
