Feeling really deflated Started by: Emily walker

So I had my surgeon consultation this evening with Mr Traynor and I’m feeling really deflated. He has said he will only do an uplift without an implant due to the condition of my skin from breastfeeding. He’s recommended I get a second opinion so I’m going to see mr Mahdi in October. I just feel like my boobs are worse than I thought and don’t really want to bother with having anything done anymore xx

Aww. Ive not been to see mr traynor purely because sometimes he can be a little rude with his consulations (2 of my friends left very upset after seeing him) and because he doesnt put implants with the uplift at all! So i think its a good job you seeing Mr Mahdi. What size are you now? Xx

I was really nervous to meet him, he was ok, he didn’t seem as rude as I was expecting however as soon as he looked at my boobs he said there’s no way I’m putting implants in those. It really knocked me as I want expecting it. I’m an empty d cup, but with just an uplift I’d probably lose a cup. I didn’t want massive implants, just something to fill them out as well as the uplift. Hopefully Mr Mahdi will be able to help me xxx

    Hey Emily,

Check out Linda Fiumara. She does free consultations and was really nice when I saw her.

Sorry you’ve had this experience and it’s left you feeling low.

Hi hun. I completely get you this is literally why i avoided him because im sure he doesnt like putting implants with an uplift. My friend had him with just an uplift and she was over the moon with it but her boobs did go smaller. I want mine with implants as well so ive gone with Mr mileto xx

I’m having an uplift with implants with Dr Giannas .. he wouldn’t go above a 275cc but to be honest I think I’m going to go smaller than that as I’m a flat C cup.
I think you’ll feel better when you’ve spoken with another surgeon.

Hi Emily, I hope you’re not too deflated after your consultation with Mr Traynor. I had an uplift with implants in august with Mr Mahdi and I couldn’t be any happier with the results. He gets straight to the point and makes sure you have realistic expectations throughout. My pre op boobs hung halfway down my stomach so I’m really hoping he does the surgery for you! Let us know how your consultation goes x

    Hi Emily,
Mine has just been cancelled after months of waiting due to being told he will only advice me to get an uplift and then implants six months later, I meant to be having the surgery next month! I’m feeling really deflated too. I’m just waiting to hear back from mr Mahdi after sending photos over. How have you got on? Xx

I just wondered how you all got on. I had a consultation elsewhere today and felt exactly the same way. I was hoping I could have implants to fill out some of the excess skin I had after breastfeeding. However I was told I would need two surgery’s 6 months apart, one for an uplift and another for implants. I’m just feeling quite upset like my boobs are worse than I thought too!

Emily, so sorry that you’re feeling this way. My current boobs sound similar, I have a lot of excess skin from breastfeeding. I am booked in to have my op with Mr Samouris at the end of September.

An uplift on its own would probably be ok and get rid of the excess skin. But I wanted implants as well, Mr Samouris is happy to do both at the same time, have you asked why you need to have 2 surgeries 6 months apart?

I did lots to research, went to see 4 different consultants for 4 different hospitals and made me decisions from there.

    Hi Amanda

That’s good to hear, I’m having another consultation in a few weeks. He said he would be removing quite a lot of skin and there would be a higher risk of infection and poor looking scar tissue if I had an implant at the same time. I’m feeling quite positive after my e-consultation though.

Hi @Emily, ahh ok I understand, sounds like they are doing the best by you, which is not always what you want to hear is it.

Glad you’re feeling more positive! Let me know how it goes x

Thanks Amanda. I have seen another surgeon at MYA and have booked for December for an uplift with implants. I’m starting to get quite nervous and a bit worried that I’m going to be in a lot of pain trying to look after the kids too. How did your surgery go? Are you happy with the results?xx

Hi Emily, that’s great news! My surgery went well, I’m 6 weeks post op now. As you know I had an uplift and 375 CC implants duel plane. I stopped taking pain relief 3 days post op, do you have someone to help with the children?

I am really happy with my results! Best thing I’ve ever done xx

Oh that makes me feel much better! Yes my husband and my mum is coming to help from Friday- Tuesday. I’m just worried I might struggle with them once she’s gone. My husband can be a bit useless sometimes haha. Hopefully I recover fairly quickly like you have! What size do you think you are now? I’m having 350cc hp unders, I’m currently a 32C but all my breast tissue is at the bottom I practically look flat without a bra on! Xx

That’s great, you will be fine then. I was prepared for the worst but it was far better than I expected. I felt groggy from the anaesthetic more than anything. Picking up the children is a no for a while, hugs can be sensitive too but it’s fine now.

I think I’m probably a 32 DD if not more I’m going to get measured next week. My implants are 375 so just a little bigger than you. I was the same before my op xx

    Hi Amanda

My op is tomorrow I’m so nervous. I just wondered what you took to hospital with you?

    Thanks
