Few Questions – smoking & same day

Hi All

Am booked in for 27th Jan at Highgate, still debating on size!!

Does anyone know what the impact is if you smoke for 2 weeks before/after op?

Also, if you go in as a day case you have to be within a certain radius of Highgate. Do you have to go back in to Highgate the next day before you can go back home or if you are ok can you just go home?

i know we shouldnt but i smoked throughout although i did cut back, i have healed perfectly so far! if you cant stop hon just try to cut down

i cut back on smoking, did have one day before op.

they told me i had to be within 1hr of the hospital, you dont have to go back the next day, we had a hotel booked for 10 mins down the road, after the op she said it was fine to go home, 2.5hrs. so we did, was nice to get back to my own bed, also the drive wasn’t to bad because of the drugs, just take a pillow to prop you up.

I didn’t cut down at all and even had one in the car before I went into the hospital and am healing fine at the mo, x x

Same here I had one jus b4 I went 2chek in at hospital, and im fine!x
