    Hey everyone,

Just a few questions for the week after my op.

    1. I’m a dog owner, will I be able to walk my dog still or shall I put him in kennels for a few days? if kennels how many days till i will be able to walk him myself?

    2. Do you have to take someone with you for your op on a day case? My mum has offered to come with me, but she lives the other side of London and think its a bit jack to ask her to come all that way when i’m going to be groggy most the day.

    3. train or car lift home? how long was it tilll YOU could drive?

    4. any last min tips??!?

Oooooo soooo excited now this time next month I will be in pain, but gooooooood pain hehe!!!

I haven’t had my op yet but from reading the forum id deffo say:

    1) No, beware of pulling, another lady on here had a problem with their dog pulling.

    2) They will not let you drive or go on public transport so you will have to have someone take you home

3)as above…ask Cuks about how long re driving

4)REST REST REST!!! you may not be in pain due to the meds but your body is recovering. V pollow plus extra normal one for under you bottom for sleeping, make sure you get back up bra’s just in case the one you bought pre-op is uncomfy, button up tops for going home in rather than over head just in case you can’t lift your arms up (same for pj’s and bra too if possible).

Plus the boobie bible is great too. From one pre-op lady to another, I hope that helps lol. xxx

haha oh no I wasn’t going to drive myself! that would be PAINFUL! and very silly.

I think i’m going to be a bad patient! Work as a medic so always think I know better and have way too much energy to rest! Feel sorry for my friends who are going to be dropping round!

I think if my dog was smaller I would keep him with me, mine is a cocker, rarely have him on a lead as the woods are my back garden so still debating putting him in kennels. I will be bored without walking him lol will have to walk myself!

    Hi hun

    1) depending on the dog u have u may be ok. I have a pom but didnt walk him gor a whil cos wen i wud walk the bouncin motion wud make.me feel like my implants were gonna fall out lol.

    2) you dont have to take someone babes but id advise u too….its a lil daunting and you dunno how long u will have to wait….if someones offering babes snap it up

    3) i did half train half car for my journey home and i was fine. Took it outta me though (nearly a 4hr journey). I was driving on day 10 babes xxxxxx

well if hes not on a lead and its only really your back garden im sure youll be fine, espesh if your gonna be walking yourself lol he might aswel be with you.

and as far as jumping up and potentially knocking a boob, dogs tend to sense when your “ill”, when im curled on the sofa ill my dog knows and just carefully sits next to me and licks my hand, so unless hes crazy fruit loop jumping all over the shop lol

    xx

He’s a cocker spaniel. Think I will be putting him in kennels for 3 days (op day, and 2 days after) just incase anything goes wrong. then I’ll have him back coz I’ll miss him too much (yes I’m one of them owners haha!!)

    What NicolaO said.

You’d be fine walking (not too far though) but if your dog is a puller, no way. :-( x

He goes in kennels if I have a 24hr shift at work, an I know he loves it there (he don’t turn to say bye just runs straight in with his tail wagging! Charming!) but my friend has offered to look after him too so few options! Thanks for the advice everyone! I didn’t even think about pulling on the lead how dumb of me lol!
