finally booked! eeeekkkk!

wehay! after weeks of sorting things out i finally have my date…. 18th Nov, exactly 10 weeks away! oooohhhh it seems such a long time but couldnt get any early due to work and im having a day case. Now then ladies how has every1 managed with day cases and how many days before you felt ‘capable’ again lol? any advice will be much appreciated about ANYTHING! Thanks xx

Id like to know too as Ive just booked mine today for manchester on the 3rd of november eeek! too excited. Im sure the time will fly xxxxx

I didn’t hav a day case so can’t help ya on that front but i was back at work 6 days post op etc so pretty capable by then! Couldn’t do alot the first few days tho, and u dont want to coz painkillers knock u out neway!

Well I have a 2 and a half year old and dreading how hard its gonna be iv got the first couple of days covered bit I just can’t help myself when it comes to doing things and I am abit of a tidy freak! Gonna have to try my best! Prob won’t be able to do it even if I want to! Well I only have a week booked off work so fingers crossed xx

Elle I have a six yr old and i didn’t have much help as we live on our own. I’m lucky tho as she can dress herself etc.! you wont b able to do much but a few tips wud b get stuff dwn from ur cupboards+put them on ur worktop coz i cudnt reach to my cupboards+ nearly killed myself tryin to get sum medicine out for my daughter! lol

Ahhh thanks sarahtia, I hadn’t even thought of that! God I’m gonna have to do some thinking and get everything at easy reach! Might start teaching him how to get dressed on his own proply too haha! Xx

hey i had a day case at manchester on wednesday and it was great im so happy with everything the only thing i would say is if u are quite far from the hospital think about staying in a hotel near by only because of the GA the car journey made me very sick. I’m post op 3 days now and ive had little pain and swelling and no brusing xxx
