Hiya ladies, thought I’d tell you my experience!
So I got to the first trust hospital around half 7 yesterday morning, two ladies showed me to my room. The room had its own bathroom and a tv, my nurse came in asked me to put a gown on and some horrible granny knickers ?. Then I did a pregnancy test, she took my heart rate and oxygen levels. She asked me if I’m nervous or excited my heart rate was through the roof? We did some medical questions after that. Then my anesthetist came in checked how I was doing, explained what he’d do, complimented my good veins then off he went. My doctor came in and listened to my chest and heart, said everything was fine apart from my heart beating too fast, I couldn’t calm down!? My nurse came in a few more times, then my surgeon came in drew on me took some pictures then he said about 45 minutes then we’ll get started! A young lad came and seen me said he’ll be back in ten minutes to take me down. He came back for me trotted down to the surgery room, he lied me down on the bed, he said right Beth it’s time to get some new boobs! They put the thing in my hand can’t remember the name if it put some oxygen on my face then off I went. I woke up, the first thing I said was ‘ did it go ok, can I look at them’ ? She let me have a look, I just seem two blurry mountains on my chest (didn’t have my glasses on) ? They took me back to my room, after about half an hour my nurse came round to out my bra on, she sat me up and I went really hot and dizzy I thought I was going to be sick I was dripping with sweat! It was horrible. After I calmed down she popped my bra on then gave me some toast and a brew. My nurse kept coming in checking me and my heart rate, when it came round to be discharged they didn’t know if to send me home my heart rate was still really fast. I forgot to tell them I did my inhaler, that’s why my heart was so fast so they sent me home once they knew it was my inhaler speeding my heart up. I feel fine in myself my chest is very very tight and sore, woke up a few times last night but nothing too serious!
