So I thought I’d do an update on after having my boobs done .
I went into surgery on 18.04.18 with mr traynor at first trust hospital in Preston
When I arrived at my admission time of 11am the staff was lovely and shown me to my own bedroom with bath and toilet. I settled in and watched abit of tv whilst preparing myself into my gown and paper knickers! Mr traynor came to draw on me and all was good! I got taken down for surgery at a fairly reasonable time. I woke up from surgery so confused as to what had just happened then the anaesthetic nurse pulled my gown up and shown me! I was so delighted. Anyway , as time went on during the day I noticed that my right boob had swollen to twice the size as my life and looked very odd in shape. Obviously alarm bells started to ring and I called the nurse, they also agreed this did not look right so she grabbed the doctor. Doctor agreed aswell this wasn’t right and got on the phone to mr traynor who advised to wrap me in bandages and use ice packs all night ( as I was over night stay) and wait for the surgeon who was in 19.4 to check me out who was Mr Netri.
So the next day after using the ice packs and swelling was still there Mr Netri came and said it would best to go down to theatre again as he thinks it’s hematoma! So off I went to surgery where they drained 330ml of blood from my right breast and had to use drains for about 6 hours post surgery. Had my drains taken out and was sent home the same day!
Although I had a faff on with my right breast I wouldn’t change a thing. The staff at first trust was lovely and so was both the surgeons!
