    5ft 8
    size 10
    had 300/340mhp unders

Well cant believe i’ve had it done its been and gone so quick! had my admission time of 11am but got to the manchester lifestyle at 10:30. We then got shown to my room (really nice and clean with a lovely en-suite) got given the menus for lunch by the porter (the food was absolutly fab and so thought my mum who ended up having 2 meals there!) then a few different nurses came in to ask a few questions about allergies take blood pressure etc. then it was just a waiting game,

my PC told me that hopefully i would be going down around 12, however the anethnatist was late which made everything late, so it ended up being after half 4 by the time they came and got me. I got marked up by mr traynor who was lovely and the nurses took me down to theatre. All the staff were so lovely and completely understanding when i got a bit tearfull when they were giving me the GA, which was fine and didnt hurt. Then before i knew it i opened my eyes and it was all done! I got taken back to my room and when came round a bit had some tea and biscuits to make sure i kept it down which i did then they brought me my meal.I had no shivering or sickness after GA either and even refused any extra pain killers as it wasnt bad at all. The nurses kept popping in to check on me throughout the evening and i left the hospital just after 10 (which meant the staff had to stay on a bit longer but still nobody moaned!)

I have to be honest last night was a bit of a nightmare having to sleep upright and got very little sleep and woke up this morning in quite a lot of pain and unable to even move my arms much but as the days gone on and i’ve taken the tablets it has got a little better. Cant wait to get healing now and see the end results!!

Any questions no matter how silly please ask as i know how helpfull this site was for me, and good luck to all you pre op girls there is nothing at all to worry about, just try to enjoy the experience!!

thanks Laura – i’m 1st april and you have put my mind at rest a bit more….am dreading the journey down and the wait for the GA cos am shit scared of anything medical and never been to hospital – had to give blood once and was hysterical and needed held down :((( just can’t envisage what am going to be like. they have made a note that i am stupidly nervous so hopefully will give me something to calm me down.
but your story is encouraging, hope my time is as good :) xx

Hi, yes have to agree on this forum, it has been very very helpful …. I had mine today and am in no pain but got a feeling that tonight won’t be too comfortable … How much pain did you have when you woke up? I might take pain killers before I go to sleep tonight xxx

Well done by the way xxxx

Lisa – what size have you been reccomended? i was tempted to push him to do 380 as loads of girls always say they wish they’d gone bigger but you’ve gotta remember there are also down sides to getting them bigger ie rippling sagging and also more risky. mine dont feel heavy at all just very tight, mr traynor told me no bra for 6 weeks which may be easier said than done haha. you wont believe how quick your date comes around though, it’ll soon be here and you’ll be fine xx

Leanne – glad i’ve put your mind at ease a bit coz i was really scared too before, mostly coz you just dont know what its going to be like but honestly its nowhere near as bad as you think and the waiting is the worst. how far do you have to travel to your hospital and who’s your surgeon? the GA is nowhere near as bad as giving blood! its a small prick in your hand then done, and litterally you open your eyes a second later and its all done. i thought i’d be hysterical the whole day but i shocked myself at how calm i was!

krysie take everything that you can before you go to bed! i wasnt too bad last night when i got back but this morning i was very stiff and sore and even struggled moving my arms for 10 mins or so. but as day goes on it does ease off a bit x

Laura – am with Transform so travelling from Northumberland to Manchester – admission time 2pm so hoping this means I will be in and done fairly quick…Even the thought of the gown freaks me out, its pathetic really. The nurse said she couldn’t believe I was going thru with it when she did my premed cos I was so shaky haha. But in a way, I think it might help me overcome the fear and hearing cool stories like yours and others on here really helps. Think there might be another girl travelling with me so that will help (as long as she is not hysterical too hahahha) xx

Hey there. I was in on Tuesday to. I must have been the next one down after you (kept gwtting stuck in the lift as the doors wouldn’t open!)
I am alright, but night time is a nightmare. My back i aching, but i am blaming the beds i have been sleeping in for that.

I stayed over for mine. Didn’t like the thought of going home and being in pain! Just as well i did because i had a funny turn a few hours later, all was well tho. I think i just needed some food. I hadn’t eaten since 10pm the nigh before.
Glad to hear everrything went well for everyone. I am still trying to wash all the pen off me. My boyfriend helped me to have a shower last night. I can’t raise my arms yet so he is having to do my hair to… i am not looking my best… yet. x
