FINANCE SO CONFUSED – ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!

Hiya,

I have been reading the forums and I am now even more confused! I am self employed and have been for the last three months. I want rhinoplasty which is £3800. I cannot get accepted for a loan anywhere as I am only in my first year of being freelance. Which I understand.

I have read that if you can put down a £2000 deposit MYA will give you there loan with no credit checks. Is this correct? I have saved £1000 with my deposit included.

I’m pretty sure Mya themselves don’t offer loans anymore, it’s through First Medical loans. xxx

I asked my pc 2 weeks ago and mya no longer offer loans themselves all loans have to go through first medical x

Yeah MYA don’t offer loans anymore you have to go through First Medical. They can be strict but if you do it with a joint applicant you’ll have more chance of being accepted (I was and I have a TERRIBLE credit score – my joint applicant has a good credit score) Also, they are more inclined to lend you the money if you have some saved up already. No it’s not true hun sorry. I had the same issue. Fortunately I managed to scrape together most of the money then asked MYA if they could help with the rest as I’d heard they did their own loans, and FML had refused me. They said no. After some words between them and FML tho, the loans company agreed to lend me the rest. That was only with my other half as joint applicant, putting £2,500 up front myself, and MYA’s intervention. Finance is a nightmare. Just save up, it’s easier xx
