Hi ladies, just wanted some advice, I’m a student just about to graduate in June,, I have been offered a job to start in july and would be on about 23,000 per year. Ideally I would love to get a ba before starting my job, as I will have a few weeks off so hopefully around June time. Do u think I would get finance?? Or would I have to be in my job for a few months or longer first? I really wanted them done before starting a new job as I’m not sure if I would be able to get time off. Thanks x

hi there, i’m on a similar wage, have been working for 3 years in the same company have never missed any payments on anything and I still got declined! No idea why I thought possibly because of my age and maybe because I’ve never had a credit card.

having said that, apparently since then they have changed their finance providers and they aren’t as strict as the last ones, so it’s worth a try xx

Iv been paying into there piggy bank scheme for the last year ad only have £300 left to pay which is due in 2wks. Tried evrything from loans cred cards, both of myas finance companys which at the time were first medical loans then they changed to V12 and have since changed bk. Got to about 2k and then i upped my overdraft on my bank by a grand and they accepted! Pretty shocked to be honest. Give that a try? I kno wen i applied thru finance they asked if i had been in my job for 6months and over xx

Barclays gave me a credit card with a £3500 limit and 0% on purchases for 12 months and I’m a student and have no rating so that’s prob the best way if u can find the rest as u pay back 2.25% per month (£2.25 for every £100 owed on card) so u could have them done b4 starting work and then pay them off with no interest once u start working x
