Hi Guys,
I am desperatly trying to get finance for my rhinoplasty in November 2011. I am self employed and I can afford the operation but I am not getting accepted because being self employed they are saying I am a risk, which I can understand. However this is so fustrating,
I have £1600 saved and I need to borrow £2000 for the operation. I am just wondering whether there is another answer as I have applied for credit but they all have such a high APR! I’m getting really worried now.
Will be really greatfull of any help.
Thankyou xxx
tesco normally have good credit card deals (I got on 0% APR for the forst 13 months) so if you can pay it off in the 13 months that would be a gd option, and cut the credit card up after you pay MYA so you don’t over spend. Or have a look on moneysavingexpert for loads and credit cards deals
Satander have 0% APR on credit cards! use one of them maybe? Im currently about to send my stuff for finance off for rhinoplasty! fingers crossed!! xxx
Same predicament! Been declined for 2 cards as I have moved lots of times being a student…(which doesnt help), my boyfriend was even declined due to our addresses! x I do not know what to do
! x
Thankyou girls! Unfortunatly because I am self employed I can only get an unsecured loan or credit card with a really really high APR…which I really don’t want to do! It is annoying as I can afford the finance and I could save but you know what it’s like you want something and you want it now!!!
Looks like we are in the same boat Taya! It’s so annoying being declined by so many companies! xxx
I know, and I’m so desperate for my operation! I want it done before xmas and theres no way i will be able to get the money without financial help, as i’ve applied a few times my credit rating has now gone down, same with my boyfriend so theres no way out! Lol, bad times
xx
BAD TIMES! Me too I want mine before Xmas…I could wait but I keep thinking it will be nice to have it done before all the xmas celebrations!!! I keep saving but I won’t be able to save enough by 1st November! I will keep you posted Taya if I find any other options
xxx
The more you apply for things your credit score goes down too due to the amount of searches you have done. & wen your score drops the less people will accept you, it’s a vicious circle! good luck trying to find something xxx
Have u tried a credit union in your area? apparently they offer lower apr loans because its a local credit union..i think i’m going to enquire at mine xx
have you asked your family to help out at all? maybe they could take a 0% 12 months purchase credit card or something and pay for it. then you could just set up a standing order to them for the payments.
i am planning to put it on a credit card maybe………….. not too sure yet.
good luck ladies. tell me how you get on.
It’s funny you asked that Stacey! I was just researching my local credit union. Are you also self employed? Let me know how you get on! Thanks Kay we will do
