When exactly is it expected for you to pay the actaul deposit?
Do you have to pay this at the initial consultation/surgeon meet and greet or…?

well i don’t think there is a critiria. Basically spoke to my co ordinator an i was so so close to asking 4 my deposit back because i just couldnt find the extra money, and then Nadja (my co ordinator) suggested they could lend me the money internally, she then said she would call me back and let me know if it was possile. She then called back and said it was possible, then all i had to do was giv them my bank details so they could set up a repayment plan! i then just signed the repayment contract and that was that. Have u been for a consultation yet? if u have, then call your co ordinator and ask, see if they will do it – u have nothing to loose

thank you that is a big help! did they need to run a credit search? I have had a fair few consultations now yeah but I have decided to go with mr singh! I rang my PC the other day cos I had some questions and I mentioned that I had heard they can give the money internally, she seemed happy to help and said she could draw up a contract, so I’m going into see her next week and hopefully I’ll be booking next week!

no they didn’t do any credit checks at all, didn’t ask how much i was earning or anything – was all very simple! Thats brillaint, you will probably just have to giv your bank details then sign the contract, and then they will set up a standing order!

They are means tested and a credit check will apply. During your consultation with a Patient Co-ordinator you can discuss all the finance options available to you.
