First Shower PO – Help girls :-)

Hi girls,

Having my first shower PO and wondering on any tips or advice??

Really worried about getting my new sterile strips wet

What/how did you all go about this?

My nurse told me it’s ok to get them wet (but try not to soak them) and dry them with a hair dryer after.

That must hurt surely? Ouch!!

I’m gonna have one in the morning Lu give them time to set.

I may pop into boots and see if they have any just in case they come off! Lol x

Yeah Blastbeat I was told the same – just worried about the whole process really as I am very aware of my incisions now and conscious where I wasn’t before

Hey Jadey! Yeah I may wait until tomorrow eve after going to boots or something – they may have additional waterproof stuff lol – I’ve survived long enough without a shower haha xxx

Hey I was so worried about showering PO, even though I couldn’t wait, I stood by the shower for a good 15 mins thinking ‘shall I? shant I? Don’t have the water too hot, or soack, and use the cool setting on the hairdryer. I showered one week post op and had help all the way…my incisions freaked me out so my sis dryed them for me. My steri strips stayed on for 4 days of showering when I was told to take them off (they weren’t falling off at all though) hope this helps x
