first shower PO – really scared!

I’ve been told I’m okay to shower now, but I’m just sooooo scared. The nurse told me to towel dry my strips, but I’ve heard some people are told to use a hairdryer. Any tips for showering?

Just get under the shower hun! . You will feel what is good and what not. You can’t break them so easy.

I dont no I see my nurse on Thursday to have all my dressings off

i couldnt shower for 2 weeks and 3 days az my right insicion tuk a bit longer to heal. it was awful not beyin able 2 shower, bt i would rather not shower and stink 4 a bit than get an infection lol x

Yh lol my kids have got r me covered in crumbs and stickey fingers too … aaaaaaaagh

I got in the bath a day after mine, just didnt let them get wet, you will be fine so long as you dont drench them, just pat them dry with a towel after they are just scars after all! x

I can’t wait for my first shower lol! 1 week post op and so sick of having shallow baths and strugglish to wash without getting dressings wet… Been wearing my bra in the bath to protect my dressings from the water! X

Dry shampoo god send! Or I got my 4 yr old to wash mine over the bath, granted water everywhere, but it entertained us for an hour! Lol

Shower is odd, I got in and had to get out, I have stupid power shower and I freaked me! I didn’t hurt but you have these two big things added to it all!

But god it’s lush on your boobs when you get use to it! Just stand with your back to it and let it trickle down you’ll be fine! Xxx

Katym no hair washing for you missy! Book yourself in at the hair dressers lovely and buy some dry shampoo x

hey, iv got to leave my steri strips on for a futher 5 days before i shower! do i leave them off forever after my shower or do i have to go back and see my nurse to put new ones on? im confused
