Honestly couldn’t wait to be able to drive again as was sick of being stuck in (and had just got my new car a week before op so was itching to get back in it ) omg thought I was fine got to the roundabout & had to twist to right to see what was coming and……… honestly thought I had ripped my tit off!!! I’m 16dpo and have been feeling really good so didn’t expect it, my new car is automatic 2 so god knows if it was my last anc I actually had to Chang gear & pull a handbrake !! Had to feed the wheel and everything! Getting s bit pissed off with this not being able to do anything now like! Arrrrrrrrrrrr!

It’ll get easier! I drove for the first time 7/8DPO and found it quite difficult but the more I drove the easier it got. I have a manual too. I still can’t get into reverse as I have one of those stupid gear sticks you have to press down before you move it into R and I still catch myself out when I try to cross my arms on a tight bend to move the wheel. It doesn’t hurt anymore but I can feel the implant move lol x

Yeah I felt it move 2 I was really worried, my hubby won’t let me do anything so until I got the ok off the nurse he said no way was I driving! Has your nurse said no ironing & hoovering until the 6 weeks is up? I think I’m gonna crack up if I can’t do these things, yeah think it will get better the more I do It (I hope) I don’t want to take any chances & put the healing back but other ppl seem ok doing stuff ?? X x

No I was never told that? All I got told was no driving for 2 weeks but I did after 1 anyway, and no heavy lifting?
You’ll honestly be fine driving as long as you don’t overdo it and to be honest you’ll get used to driving slightly different until you have full mobility back again x

    +1

The driving gets easier each time you go out just take it easy so you don’t catch yourself out when going round corners etc 🙂 if you feel okay to hoover and iron and it doesn’t put you in pain I don’t see why you can’t do that? I know they say no heavy lifting etc for 6 weeks xxx
