    Hello ladies.

    hope ur all doing well.. just a quick one.
    Anybody flown long hall shorty after there op?
    i had mine down yesterday, im an Air Stewardess & going bk to work after 3 1/2 weeks i only fly short hall.
    But my friends bf has booked us girlys a trip to Las Vegas for the 16th December so il only be 4weeks post op! Will ask my nurse on my check just wondered if anybody has actually flown long hall that short after. I think i might be alright as im gona be flying like 4-10 hour days when i go bk to work anyways!

    I’m less than 5 weeks po and i do everything you can imagine normally party, skating, cooking just make sure when doing anything crazy u support your big babies well.;)

    Hi Toria, I’ve just come back from a trip to New York and Las Vegas! I was 10 weeks post op when i flew out. I think that they recommend at least 4 or 6 weeks, can’t remember which, but i’m sure you’ll be fine hun xx

    Just double check with your nurse. It’s not a case of whether you feel up to it, it’s a health reason relating to DVT. If you’ve flown long haul (12 to 15 hrs) and looked at your legs at the other side you’ll have surely noticed quite a swelling (even with the ‘magic’ socks on!) so imagine that happening to newly operated on bodies! urgh!

    Just go with what your nurse says. I’m sure it’s worked out with an extra margin of safety in anyway, like: minimum recommended safety time + a little extra safety time = recommended time before flying long haul! ha ha check out my maths!

    U’ll be fine hun. Im flying out to the Maldives on the 15th Dec. Will be 4 weeks post op. Mr Adamo said I would be fine.

    Ahhh thanks sky. Can’t sleep so worried about it. Clareeeee have taken what u said on board and will def talk to the nurse about it when I go bk for my checks. Xxx
