Hi
soooo, after 8 years of thinking about it I finally have a date for my BA! I’ll be flying back from Portugal to have it done, and have been recommended to stay in the UK for 2 weeks after the op before flying back and going back to work. Has anyone done this? And is 2 weeks enough time off work? I’ll be sitting at a desk. When I return and don’t plan on having any luggage-just phone, money, mp3, tickets, so I don’t do any lifting. Thanks for any help or advice xxx
that should be fine hun, on the factsheet is says u can fly shorthaul 2weeks after xxj
thanks guys, will I be mobile enough by then do you think? I just don’t wanna be struggling or pulling anything xxx
i was fine literally from day 2 hunni! i had overs.. you having overs or unders? im sure u will be fine after 2weeks! im now nearly 3weeks post op. i fly long haul at 6weeks. i am only waiting on surgeons recommendation i would have flown week after lol xx
I’m having unders which I have heard may cause slightly more discomfort, but thanks for the reply. It’s reassuring when people aren’t bed bound for weeks! I’m sure if I do nothing for 2 weeks I’ll be ok, I’m worried about people bumping into me too! I dunno why, it’s not like they would on a normal day or that I’ll be walking through a busy street in London lol. I just don’t want to risk a thing. Have a safe flight in 6 weeks, and if it’s for a holiday, enjoy showing off your new boobies! x
im 12 days post op, and finding things much easier now, i cant drive yet (well i cant drive my navara, havent tried my little automatic saab since the first week), so i wouold think the two weeks here would be a good enough amount of time. i had unders as well xx
hi joannabella, glad to hear you’re finding things easier, how has your healing process been with unders? when do you think you’ll be back driving? I think I’m just going to do the absolute minimum for the 6 weeks after. thanks for reply x
I’m also havinf Russo, mind if I add you please? x
I’m meant to go back to work on day 8 I’m now day4 and really in such unbelievable pain:( so be super prepared as I thought it would be alot easier:/
I had partials xx
Hello! I had unders and I went back to work day 6 and was driving then too, I was quite lucky I think, I had barely any pain, only when trying to sleep and I only took co-codomal for the first two days. I should think two weeks would be fine but obvs everyone has different thresholds and healing rates xx
what size implants did you guys have? do you think there’s a ratio between how big you go and the pain? or do you think it’s just down to the individual? trying not to worry about the discomfort, I’m sure it’ll all be worth it!x
I think if you have bigger implants then it hurts a bit more…I’m having 800cc’s from a 34B and Mr C said I should be prepared for my skin to do some serious stretching and that I was going to feel a lot of discomfort too….also I don’t have much tissue so it’s going to be quite a big strain on my chest and my upper body as a whole, I just hope I don’t get stretch marks!
xx
add away hun
i should be ok driving my auto now, as the steering is really light and easy (i tried it three days post op and it took ages to do a short journey, and i was in tears the whole time.
if you can do the minimal for as long as you feel it, im back ironing and most household duties (i can vac yet though, or cut things like bread), but i think this is because i feel iv got tennis balls in my bra, not boobs
(only just started feeling this way)
i was meant to start back at work this week, but thankfully as its mine and my partners business, iv stayed home and finished all the tax returns (on his business as well as the joint, so im in the good books) i will be back tomorrow though, but not in the pubs for another week or so (pulling the cask, lifting the glasses, both out the washer and to put away on high shelves wont be possible yet)
im usually a really quick healer, but the GA has completely knocked me so much i still have a bruise from the canula, so im blaming that on me generally feeling like crap and sleeping all the time xx
Thanks hun, added you
sorry you’re feeling like you have tennis balls in your bra
I’m sure it’s just you and your body getting used to them? hope you feel better about them again soon xxx
