Hiya, I am hoping to book in with MYA with the view to getting surgery in early April. I could get it done from the 2nd April – the 8th as I need to fly on the 9th April. Would this be feasable? If they had space on the 2nd it would have been a whole weeK?
I am really restricted to times I get can it done unfortunately and I really want to fit it in before my holiday!
    Any advice much appreciated x

its recommended that you dont fly for 2 weeks after BA (short haul, 6 weeks for long)
If you are taking any luggage with you? i really wouldnt like to consider pulling any suitcase or trying to get one of the belt at the airport. If its a holiday your are going on you cant swim for 6 weeks incase of infection.

Speak to your pc they can give you information that is specific to you.

hmm yeah I guess I didn’t think about the luggage thing…will only be taking a small light wheelie case. I did know about the swimming and that doesn’t really bother me so much. I hope I get the green light! I’ve gotta actually pluck up the courage to have my PC first…I’ve booked 2 now and been scared out of it. I really feel like i’ve made up my mind now though x

dont worry about going to see them. theres no pressure so if you decide that its not for you theres no need to take it any further.

I had mine done 3 months ago and wouldnt change it for a second. Go along and see how you feel.

Hey girls i just want to add that your not supposed to fly after surgery due to being at risk of deep vein thrombosis they say 2 weeks short haul and 6 weeks long haul and like cateo said they use a less quality implant and many that are avaliable in other countries are banned in the uk, Just be carfeul if you do decide to get some good insurance incase you have to seek medical care abroad as you dont want big nasty bills. And also check out the local hospital of the place you are going as medical standards are different everywhere. Good luck and im sure you will love your new boobs, im hoping to get mine done april/may and cannot wait. xxx

so i guess i wouldnt be allowed fly home from london after my ba then… ahhhh the stress of it all its, its only like a 45 min flight to dublin so mightn’t be to bad…

    Menu

but if it was your choice…can anyone stop you? I know it is a bit risky but I really think it should be ok if it’s nearly a week after…surely some people sit for longer during a working day than a 2 hour flight! I might not say anything and just go for it…eek.

my friend had hers done in belgium and flew home the next day and she was fine, so i think it would be fine as long as its not a long haul flight x x
