Food @ highgate

my boyfriend is with me all day next friday @ highgate, but i am worried that there isnt anywhere for him to be comfortable and be able to buy or receive a hot drink, cold drinks, snacks and food. Is there a canteen or anything like that there within the hospital?

he can get food there they do hot meals and snacks, also there are a couple of pubs nearby where he could have lunch to, they have wifi to if u got a laptop.

is the food reasonably priced in the hospital? wifi is good i have my blackberry and bring my laptop aswell. x

I think all the rooms are slightly different but my husband came with me and its not exactly comftable for them if u no wot i mean…..theres a bed and a chair in the room i was in. not too sure about the price of the food but i dont think its too expensive xxx

My boyfriend had an evening meal with me at Highgate it was £10 and a breakfast which i think was £6..both well worth it the food was fab! xXx

P.s a man came round to take my order and we asked if he could order something too. We paid for his meals the next morning when i was discharged…he had plenty of hot drinks too but they didnt charge him for those x

so grateful for the heads up… drinks free for my hubby, food to be paid for, well i shall pack a few snacks for him and myself aswell as money for food. cheers girls!!!! appreciate it!!! xxx

I was in Highgate for the day on the 6th and my boyfriend came with me for the day. Plenty of tea/coffee/juice, which they charged neither of us for, and he got a 3 course lunch for £10. He stayed with me all day, there’s a garden to go for a walk in if it’s nice and plenty of shops nearby to get a magazine from, and a telly in your room.

@snowflake, cheers hun!!! thats brill, 3 course lunch for a tenner, wicked!!! i feel so much better knowing that!!!! sounds better than the brekkie and dinner, for nearly that amount, glad that he gets a 3 course meal!!! thank you so much!!!

No probs babe He can pay for brekkie as well if you get there early enough as well, I think. Don’t know for sure though, I was pretty out of it until well after lunch – couldn’t even eat all my ice cream, lol!!!

p.s babe..the dinner my fella had was a 3 course for the £10..and the cooked brekky came with juice and fruit and also a pot of coffee (yeh a pot) lol..was all as good as any restaurant…lotsa luck for ur op honey xXx
