found a lump in my chest

hey ladies im 4days post op now, i found a hard but slightly squidgy VERY tender lump just above my right boob on my chest and tender all the way up to collar bone, its quite painful, its not red and not burning, thought maybe it was bruising but its not changed colour at all, i have called nurse and shes unsure (she said its not seroma or a bleed) shes advised me to monitor it though……………did any one else have anything similar?

sorry to hear this hun, dont panic tho. im sure its nothing. could it just be like trapped air bubble thingy, i had one underneath near my stitches. it went soon after xx

That’s scary. However I imagine it’s more to do w scar tissue than something more serious but do tell ur nurse about this and have it evaluated xxxxxxx try not to panic xxxxxx

Hope you’re ok hun sounds scary I had mine done on wednesday and really quite freaked out with them think cus of all the pain sso can’t even touch them. I really hope its nothing serious xx

Hi sweety If you had unders it my be to do with a pulled muscle or something … I would def keep an eye on it and if your not happy go and see te nurse or your doc xx…. I was worried about a vein in my hand the canular was in as it was very swollen and very painful and it turns out I have inflammation if the vein after seeing the surgeon … So there will be an explanation for you lump fingers crossed it just goes sweety xx

After 6 wks po I started weeping from right scar I thought OMG my nurse thought might of been infection had it cleaned dressed course of tablets now 2 weeks later still weeping fluid and having to have it dressed all the time she told me today that it could be seroma just goto wait and see also as it was weeping thro my scar it has made my scar wider I just want it to end and be normal PLZ I hope it goes better for me hate to have to have the drain. so I do no were ur comming from with the worry im sick of it now .

aw thats sounds dreadful beccyboob hope it gets better for you hun, thankx all for replying, its still very tender but it must be brusing as its spreadig across my chest now but not on my boobs, i think im all tensed up so could well be my muscles and skin taking the impact. i had overs though, i have feeling in one of my nipples but not the other, i got away with not having constant erect nipples lol, and funnily enough only one reacts to the cold (the one that has feeling in it)

saw nurse today she doesnt know what the lump is….luckily its stopped hurting still a little tender but not painful to the touch anymore (phew) she advised to still keep and eye on it and it could just be scar tissue (how odd)

they dont really warn you that you could end up with a lump on you upper chest below collar bone that you could have a lump from scar tissue! so al be warned!
