    Hey,

I am completely freaking out now, my op is in 3.5 weeks, have my pre-op a week on sat. I didn’t realise until I saw on the forum yesterday that they contact your gp for medical history. I had bad depression about 2 years ago, have been off anti depressants for about 19 months and have been completely fine since.

Im really worried this is going to stop my op going ahead, should I contact my pc before my pre-ops to talk to her about it, as I don’t want a last minute panic with doctors letters etc??

If anyone knows anything, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks xxx

don’t worry, speak to ur pc, i informed mine at my first meeting about everything that is wrong with me. i also thought that they might not let me go ahead with my ba as i needed a letter from my gp to state that i was ok. due to have my ba next friday

Thanks girls, feel a better now. Just panicking.

Taya did they not ask you about it? I thought I might just not bring it up but if they contact my gp then it will obviously be brought up.

Think being honest about it is probably best, but If they won’t contact my gp then il just not bother mentioning it.

Nice but of added stress before my op xxx
