She was dead supportive at first and now its getting closer she has turned on me!!

I have the same problem with my best friend also, she hasn’t done/said anything that harsh as of yet, but she makes tiny little digs about how stupid I am going to look blah blah blah… all I do is ignore her, I laugh when she says something horrible or just completely disregard her opinion, if she’s a true friend she will see what she said was wrong and she will apologise.

Whatever you do, don’t listen to your boyfriend and tell her to f*ck off! Lol… my boyfriend says exactly the same thing! And trust me, it isn’t worth the hassle and arguments! Lol

lisam is right – just avoid her for a bit and if she doesn’t know when the op date is, don’t tell her. and when you do eventually see her dress down intentionally so she won’t necessarily notice the difference because then when she asks if you’re still going ahead with it you can tell her how long ago it was done. perhaps she’s just worried that you’ll look different to the friend she is used to and doesn’t want you to make a mistake but gone the completely wrong way about voicing that opinion and said the completely wrong thing.

if she has never thought about surgery and never been in this situation she probably doesn’t realise quite how scary it actually is or how hurtful her comments have been.

my so called friend once made a comment to me and my best about getting pregnant which we ignored at the time but i stopped speaking to her and when she asked why i told her upfront that her comment was disrespectful and hurtful and she felt awful about it.

Clare1812 that is so true. Most of my friends have big boobs and I used to hate going out with them because I was so flat chested 32aa and 19yrs old….Not good. Now that I have had my BA there’s alot off them now being different towards me, and saying comments like on a night out you will not be standing next to me because your bigger chested than me now, and some of my friends haven’t even text me to see how I got on, and im now 6days post opp haha.

I’ve got friends that are jealous but it’s a good thing… Probably more encouraging them to want one… We all laugh about it… No bad tensions at all.. Which is what it should be..
