    Hi Everyone.
I am getting so frustrated and disheartened.
I am a transgender woman, 37, been full time transitioning for the past 3 years (like many trans women, I have always known since I was a child but kept it hidden out of fear of rejection and mockery).
I’ve been registered with a NHS gender clinic to start HRT for the last 2yrs, but the average waiting time is 5yrs now.
I desperately want breast argumentation, as I am sick of having to wear dresses and clothes that hide my chest, it makes me feel so unattractive and incomplete.
I have been doing lots of research but apart from going abroad for surgery (which I really don’t want to do) nearly all UK surgeons require that transgender patients have been on HRT for at least a year before they will consider doing breast surgery on them.
This feels so unfair, and is so heartbreaking, its bad enough I have to wait 5yrs before even getting an appointment to start HRT, but then also having to wait another year after starting HRT to have breast argumentation just feels really cruel, I feel like my life is constantly on hold, especially as I have the money right now to pay for breast surgery.

I was wondering if there’s anyone here who is transgender or knows anyone who’s transgender and been through the same thing? Or even of anyone knows any surgeons in the UK who don’t have this stupid rule in place.
    Thankyou you xx
