My brothers gf has got pip implants from Harley street and they won’t replace them
she wanted to go bigger anyway but it’s gonna cost her a bomb
xxx
mega happy i didnt chose them
They were rude when I had a consultation so I didn’t bother with them glad I went with N U now
leah91 my friend has also got them too xx HMG SHOULD BE FORCED to replace them …. its a joke they knew they were using cheap crap implants and should face thge consequences. To me if US baneed them in 2000 why did UK not follow suit immediately?
Mr PIPS has made his money….. amd gone into hiding x
Mr PIPS should be pinned down and 2 of his dodgy implants should be inserted by force….then he may get an inkling of how he has made so many people feel….
and stick a pair in his boll** too!!
It must be awful for the people out there with PIPs, I hope it gets resolved so the patients don’t have to pay. It isn’t right. Even if the companies that used PIPs thought they were okay as they were approved, don’t they have insurance for this sort of thing to cover re-ops and replacements for patients that have been affected??
What if there are problems with Allergan implants in a few years time? We are told they are safe and we think they are safe now, but I’m sure the patients with PIPs thought they were safe when they had them. Does anyone know how long Allergan implants have been used for? I know the Natrelles are approved in America but the normal CUIs aren’t. MYA and Transform have told me there isn’t any difference in quality, the Natrelles just come in fancy packaging.
fancy packaging…… hope i did not pay extra £308 for fancy packaging.
Inspira is the premium range n FDA aprroved….. leah91 i was takin the pee with my above comment dont worry we did not pay for gift wrapped implants xxxx
sorry i just realised that could come across really rude to people that have paid extra for Natrelles, didn’t think before I typed! I asked what the difference was at my consultations because I know the Natrelles have the lifetime guarantee against rupture, so I wanted to find out why this was the case. The surgeons had the opinion that you couldn’t say either CUIs are Natrelles are any more or less likely to rupture than one another without more research. The PC said if some companies are selling Natrelles as less likely to rupture because of the extra guarantee then they shouldn’t be, she thought they were exactly the same quality each with the same tough outer shells and the Natrelles were just a new range in fancy packaging.
I hope this hasn’t come across badly, it’s not my opinion I really don’t know which is better or if they’re the same, it’s just what I’ve been told. Even if the Natrelles are exactly the same quality as the CUIs you’ve paid £308 extra and got the lifetime guarantee that you wouldn’t have with CUIs so it’s all good x
Lol no I ment I hope they font say 10 years from now something about the CUIs haha ! X
Roch no offence taken hun xxxxxxxx
I hope I didn’t pay extra for a nicer box!! I was told it was better because of The lifetime against rupturing as it had a thicker coating around the implant and less likely to CC.
Oh well I’ve had it now ay.
Xx
This annoys me, they’re either better quality or they aren’t and we should all be getting told the same thing, i.e. the facts. When companies give us information and advice it should be factual and based on real statistics, not based on the individual PC’s opinion or on what they think the patient wants to hear or what can make the most money etc.
I was told the outer shells were exactly the same and you were told natrelles are thicker. I just want to make an informed decision but some things just aren’t too transparent! x
Since the pip scandal came to light I think every patient has a right to be told correctly and given information.
I chose soft touch anatomicals as these ar the most expensive and are a cohesive gel like a gummy bear so should not rupture anyway as no liquid inside. If any people going for consults can get all the info and add it to the boobie bible that would be so great. X
Are all the implants not cohesive gel????
Yeh that’s what I thought to?? My PC told me it was like cutting into a jelly baby.. And she was only talking about the cui implant?? Unless I’m wrong..
xxxxxx
Heidi all Allergan are cohesive gel is what I was told too xxx
I was also told anaromicals were high risk of rotating too
I was also given the example of a ‘jelly baby’ and I had standard cui’s x
I think there are different variations of cohesiveness, for example I think cui/soft touch/responsive are all slightly different. But my understanding is that none of these are ‘gummy bear’ implants. I thought it was only anatomicals that are gummy bear implants.

“It’s important to know that not all “cohesive gel breast implants” are gummy bear implants. All implants that are sold today are a more cohesive silicone gel than the implants from 20 years ago. Many different kinds of breast implants are called cohesive gel implants. Only the most cohesive implants are called “gummy bear implants.”
The natrelles are less likely to rupture, I checked the rupture rates of both although can’t remember off the top of my head what they are. They have a thicker coating/shell and they are coated all the way round whereas the CUI’s have a smooth patch at the back of the implant. They also are designed to reduce the chance of cc because of the way the outer texture adheres to the breast tissue. You pay the extra money for them because of this. I assume this is possibly why the FDA approve them. My PC tried to sell the CUI’s and I was led to believe they were no different but I really did my homework on the natrelles and based my decision on lots of research, independent of MYA. If the implants were the same the FDA would not approve one and not the other!
