Galdas MYA Journey!

hello lovelies!
so two days ago i finally got boobs 😀 here’s my full story.

I had my initial consultation just before christmas with my Personal Coordinator, Laura at the Nottingham clinic. I would like to express just how awesome Laura has been all the way through, going completely above and beyond what i was expecting of her, happy to answer all of my questions by text or phonecall, and always polite and empathic. She helped when things didnt go quite so smoothly with the finance, and my doctors letter, she calmed me down and helped sort it all out.
I then had my surgeon consultation with Mr Schiavone, and he was superb. He seemed to know what i wanted before i even had to explain it, he was polite at all times, and even apologised for having to touch my breasts at the consultation to get some measurements!
so then it came round to the op ridiculously fast (i had five weeks in between my surgeon consultation and my surgery day) and the couple of days before i was worried that something else was going to happen to stop it from going ahead, and felt really ill on monday because of nerves!
My mum and i stayed in Chateau Impney the night before as my admission time was 7.15am. We got to Droitwich Spa Hospital just before that time, and were taken straight up to my room which was spacious and comfy, with a tv and private bathroom, and a couple of chairs for family to sit in. A few different people came in, nurses (wee samples, sock fittings, confirming i was me etc) anaesthetist, and then dr Schiavone came in to draw on me! I had lost the vast majority of my nerves by then because there was nothing stopping it now! He said i was second on the list and would hopefully go down about 9.30am.
I ended up going down at 10.30am (hes a complete perfectionist, i had no problem with this at all!) and was absolutely fine with going under GA as ive been under before so knew what to expect. Next thing i knew, it was 1 o clock and i was actually waking up in the recovery ward with a really lovely nurse watching over me 🙂 I then had a bit of a funny turn, almost like a panic attack, but without the panic (i just couldnt control my breathing properly) but that was just the shock and i recovered very quickly. I asked whether he got the 520 in that i wanted, and was told yes 😀
I went back to my room (very confused as to how they were going to fit two beds in my room) but was told i was on my bed all along, that confused the hell out of me 😛 And my mum was in there waiting for me, and then i went to sleep for a bit whilst my mum went out and ate some food.
Because i had drains in, i had to stay at the hospital for at least six hours, and then they take out the drains. I drifted in and out of sleep, and was brought tea and biscuits. I drank the tea but my throat felt really weird and as though something was setting off my gag reflex, so one of the doctors came in and had a look, and said ive just had my throat a little scratched from the breathing tube and stuff. It still feels a bit sore today (2 days post op) but not as bad as it did.
At around seven i had my drains removed, this was absolutely fine, stung the tiniest bit, but nothing too bad 🙂 then dr schiavone came in to visit me again and asked if i was pleased and comfortable and stuff and i said yes, over the moon, and he said well that makes me happy too!
We left just a little after 8pm and went to a local pub and i had gammon, it was delicious and i kept it down. Ive felt quite nauseous over the past couple of days now, but ive not actually been sick.
The boobs look great, im so happy i did this! Ive put up a bunch of pictures for you to look at, so add me if you want to see 🙂
